NIGHTMARE!! Advice: avoid this Pabst-seemingly owned town! Their Staybridge Hotel is AWFUL--and the owners, Pabst Farm Development LLC could care less! My young kids and I were treated HORRIBLY by Staybridge staff--specifically James, desk clerk (although he claimed to be Manager and there was 'no-one else I could complain to') who knowingly gave my booked, confirmed reserved and PAID FOR room away and then didn't bother to call, email, or to even cancel my reservation to let me know. Upon attempting to check-in with my reservation, James literally threw his arms in the air and celebratory exclaimed "We're sold out!"--like he was happy! I was totally confused, as my 4 young kids and I had arrived there for a dance competition the next morning and I HAD A CONFIRMED RESERVATION NUMBER AND RELATED EMAIL and HAD AN AUTHORIZATION FOR MY ROOM ON MY CREDIT CARD--so when I brought this to his attention, I was told "go find a Holiday Inn somewhere, I don't know what you want me to do"! REALLY??!! You have a giant computer and umpteen phone lines in front of your face, KNEW YOU HAD GIVEN MY ROOM AWAY IN THE MORNING, and you want me to drive around on dark, unlit rural roads, in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin with my 4 little kids, looking for a hotel with availability, meanwhile I have paid for a room in the Staybridge Oconomowac? He proceeded to be verbally abusive--to the point that I began recording his outrageous, disgusting behavior. Had I been a man--I guarantee I would have been accommodated or at the very least, spoken to respectfully. James behavior was inflammatory, outrageous, inappropriate, offensive, unprofessional, and totally unacceptable! The worst part--I didn't hear from hotel management about the situation until MONDAY, 9:45AM--clearly they couldn't care to be bothered on the weekend while they were resting comfortable while my girls missed their dancing as we didn't find another hotel and get them settled until almost 2am! Per James Saturday evening, when I asked him if the Hotel Manager would be there Sunday morning to address the situation I was told "I can't tell you if he will be here or he won't be here tomorrow morning". What?? Absolute mess--only made 10 times worse by James the Jerk at the Staybridge. Overbooking is one thing. Mistakes happen, Being a belligerent, careless, insulting JERK has no excuse. Attempting to help secure another room elsewhere prior to my check-in--that's hotel policy. This hotel didn't follow it's own documented policies and procedures; knowingly overbooking, not notifying or attempting to notify me, and not attempting to secure a room in lieu of their room. That all made so much worse by having a horrible, careless person at the helm to further inflame an already bad situation! The GM of the hotel told me they had given my room to "a man going through a divorce"--and that they should have called me to let me know. James told me their sister hotel was "totally sold out", only to find out they actually had a room when my husband, frantic for our safety and well being, began calling everywhere to Milwaukee to find us a room while I tried to locate another hotel. We were thankful, albeit not the suite I bought for the night at the Staybridge, to accommodate my family size--instead we had to glorify camp on the floor of a much lower rated hotel, owned--yep, by the Pabst developers. I called & emailed Pabst Farm management 3 times, was promised by the secretary that I would hear back from Kevin or higher up, and instead--my calls went ignored. Clearly from top on down this company is a NIGHTMARE and they don't care about their patrons. Do yourself a favor at stay in Milwaukee or any other town there--avoid this self-proclaimed "Pabst" town--they're money sucking investors that are only out for profit and could care less about providing a service!! Oconomowac is being destroyed by the Pabst Developers and they junk they're bringing to...
