Gabriel's Taqueria & Bar — Restaurant in Oconomowoc

Took the family for dinner. It was not very crowded when we arrived. We placed our food order, and then we waited and waited and waited. Three separate workers noted we had been waiting a long time and still no food. I asked for the bill to pay for the drinks we had ordered and to cancel our meal order. We were told it'd be just another two minutes. Once again, we waited. We politely asked when it was done that it'd be boxed up so we could just carry it out. What bothers me most is that every worker knew what was going on, including the owner, and not one apology was given. We even paid full price. Needless to say, we won't be dining...

Very small restaurant, located in popular downtown. First time visiting. Came around 4pm, Friday, no one else in the restaurant. Family of 3. Staff didn’t even see us come in, so we waited a few minutes. Food was average, nothing special. Guacamole had way too much salt, remember we can always add more salt if needed. Chimichangas, more rice than chicken, unique chicken flavor, wasn’t for me. Husband had steak tacos, just average, nothing special. Recently tried this restaurant on a Saturday evening. Was hoping for a great experience but the food and really the overall experience was awful. Unless they drastically change something they'll never make it in downtown oconomowoc. We had the Seafood Molcajete and Tamiquena Gabriel and both were unfortinately terrible. The chips and gauc were good though, but their sweet green soup like salsa not so much. We tried to order NA strawberry daiquiris for the kids and we were served kitties cocktails, they fixed it upon going up to the bar to ask, which we were grateful, but they were awful...
