Noodles and Company — Restaurant in Oconomowoc

I love Noodle and Company so much and was soooo happy they finally put one in Oconomowoc! This place is really nice and setup like any other Noodles. I have had some issues with ordering. Apparently if you call to place an order, it is a call center that takes the order not the actual store that they make you believe. I placed an order over the phone because for some reason the online ordering wasnt working at that specific time. I called the number for the Oconomowoc location and they lead you to believe that you are actually speaking with someone at the store because I even asked "Is this Oconomowoc Noodles and Company"? (I wasn't too sure with it being so new that the number was right online so thats why I asked). I went on to say I needed to place an order for pickup and went through my whole order . She said my order would be ready within like 10 to 15 min. I drove there from my house which is across town so it took me the full time to get there. I went in and did not see my order on the pickup counter yet to I went up to the counter and saw them getting together a to go bag right then and said oh i think that will probably be mine and she asked my name and I told her. She came back over and said im sorry what was your order under again and I told her and what I had ordered. She said oh we did not get that order and I was really blown away because I am wondering how I spent 5 plus minutes with someone on the phone takin my oder ther nd then they didnt even submit it! I told her can you please tell me who it was that answered the phone about 15 minutes ago because i seriously wanted to put in a complaint about whatever employee just completely disregarded an order or at least get an explanation and find out if it was an accident or honest mistake. That is when she went and got the manager and he explained the whole call center thing which blew my mind considering it isn't some crazy overwhelming busy business to the point of having to outsource for phone ordering! The manager and staff were great though explaining it and were very apologetic that it happened. They put my order in right away and started it immediately. It didn't take very long and the manager even stuck around the whole time i placed my order and then gave me a coupon for a free side at my next visit. They were really great about everything and extremely helpful! I do think they should let people know they are speaking with a call center when placing an over the phone order rather than leading them to believe they are actually calling that specific store. Again, this isn't anything bad for this location or reflects poorly on them. If anything I wish I could give them more than 5 stars for being so upfront and honest about how their system works and how to avoid it in the future! The food is always amazing and fresh! I love that they always get the orders right. A lot of places do NOT look at the order descriptions closely and just see what it initially says and disregards any extras or substitutions to a meal leaving you with a meal you did not want and cannot enjoy! Thankfully this place always follows the orders to a T! The only thing I could have seen any type of improvement on would have been the front register where walkins come to place their orders. I only ever see one person taking orders no matter how busy it gets. That is kind of frustrating and annoying because when you have a family that just walked in before you with 6 plus people you are waiting a really long time standing in line to place your order and be able to sit down or even to ask a quick question! Take into account a day when a family like that is there and maybe one or more people are before you also, it would make for a ridiculously long wait time for a meal! Though the food was good, the staff was a bunch of high school kids yelling to each other the entire time we were there. We were the only people eating inside and we couldn’t even heard people at our own table. The guy checking us out literally stopped mid transaction to interject into the conversation behind him and left us sitting there. Reminded us is a high school lunch room.

4 month later…..I got the new apple chicken salad. But they didn’t have apples. (We overheard them saying it) so instead of saying they didn’t have it and asking if I wanted to change my order or it was ok….they just made the salad and said nothing. I asked for steak instead of chicken (as I can’t eat chicken) and they left chicken in the salad and sent a side container of steak...

Ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs. What used to be $8.50 increased to $9.50 recently and within the last week that has gone to $10.50. That wouldn't be so bad if it actually came with marinara sauce. I asked for more sauce (enough to cover the noodles). I was told that would cost another $1.00. How awful! When I got home, I needed to add V8 juice and ketchup just to cover the noodles in the bowl. All the sauce was at the top of the bowl and only covered 20% of the noodles.
