I wish I could give this place 5 stars. I love the owner's story, it's super cute with a great outdoor seating area and is a great option for a quick "to go" or sit down meal while you're walking (or golf carting) around the island. Maybe we caught them on an "off" day but it was a horrible experience, unfortunately. We were having an incredible Ocracoke day in mid May, cruising around on a cart and decided to pop in after reading good reviews. When we arrived, a woman was getting pretty irritated saying she had waited for 20 minutes for her order. We shrugged it off thinking she was just being impatient. My husband worked in the food industry and we know how rough customers can be and Covid has made it even worse. We placed our order and sat down. We heard them apologize to the woman saying her order ticket had been lost. It happens. They served her quickly after that. We shrugged again and waited. And waited....and waited. We started to get nervous at 20 minutes in. At 30 minutes in, and after watching every group of every size come and go and we still had no food, we knew something was wrong. My husband went up and kindly asked the employee at the counter about our order. She didn't look but just said, "We're busy. It'll be ready soon." He sat back down. At 40 minutes in, I insisted on going back up. We were all hungry and time was wasting on our day since we had catch the ferry back. I was once again told, "We're busy". I sat back down. Once it reached 50 mins, thankfully, another employee took over the counter. We went back up and she, thank goodness, knew immediately something was wrong. She stopped taking orders and investigated only to find out our food had been sitting there the whole time with the wrong name on it and the original ticket was lost. She apologized profusely even though she had nothing to do with the mistake and they remade our food in 5 minutes. At this point, we had been there for an hour. Our food should have taken no more than 10 minutes. It really put a damper on our day because we had to leave the island soon and had run over our golf cart rental. As for the food? It was fresh and the presentation was pretty but we've had better. Maybe it was due to the rushed nature but everything was just "so-so" and my husband's burrito was missing half it's ingredients and was almost inedible. He threw most of it away. The guac was the only thing worth mentioning but it was only a very small scoop despite the claim that it could feed four. Overall, it was a very disappointing, and rather pricey experience (we spent almost $50 for just 4 of us which would have been fine if our food arrived on time and had more flavor). We wouldn't recommend this place, sadly, to anyone unless a staff retraining was performed. We are those people that never try to complain about food and are very patient but it's not asking too much, if a customer is respectful and polite, to actually look into their order and not just dismiss them after such a great length of time has passed and everyone behind them has been served before them. I truly hope, for the owner's sake, that things improve before the busy summer season. I am sure with more conscientious staff, this place...

Its a small kitchen in a trailer ,smelled amazing from far away ,no easy parking since there's only about 3 spots next to the trailer ,we had to park next door which had big signs that parking were for that store ONLY but hey it was raining so I parked for a few minutes until a free spot opened at Eduardos ,I was visiting for the first time the island so I've never been here before the menu is very limited to burritos/tacos and bowls a bit pricey I can say a burrito is $13 +tax a taco is $6.95+ tax (YES $7 for a TACO!!😨😱🥴🧐 I DID asked cashier taking order if it was a pretty big taco or you know to have an idea what am getting or how many should I get ,but her response was its a normal size but as you know every place have a size so yea I was not sold to the its a Norma size ,because if its YOUR Eduardo size a small bite size taco Lol am not paying you no $7 dollars idk how good or popular you are , I know what a good size and delicious taco is worth just because some don't and are willing to pay whatever means I will ,nope .anyways I ended up asking for burritos 🌯 carne asada 2 no pico no sour cream and 1 just no pico guess what !?? and after repeated saying my order because at this point the blonde woman taking orders was just been rude and had a cooky attitude couldn't hear me Lol but every one before me , HISPANICS also and part family who speak sooo soft she did !?? So this made it hard for me to even want to continue ordering even the people behind me looked at me with the nood as WOW what a b#$% I felt embarrassed at this point but didn't want to be more embarrassed for the situation and walk away and leave the cashier talking so yeah I continued to order now 2 quesadillas for my kids quesadillas are $6 only cheese nothing else. So overall parking not so great , costumer service definitely need help with attitude or even offering your dishes especially for new costumers otherwise your loosing out on profits because people don't have an idea what you guys have other than a writen menu ,burritos could of been great if it wasn't that they were totally wrong all of them had pico and one with sour cream so we tried as much to take it out and just made a big o mess everywhere beans ,rice and meat where most on floor we ended up eating it like a quesadilla . It is in like a 12 inc tortilla so it's more rice beans and tortilla for the $13 not worth it to me honestly my kids quesadillas were actually really yummy or at this point we were just starving but they were pretty big and can say totally worth the $6 it was in 3 big pieces so maybe a 12 inch...

Authentic freshly made tacos and burritos in the middle of Ocracoke island?! Are you kidding me?!?!

TL;DR: Mexican tacos served in sets of three (or two for certain seafood/specialty options) or individually. We chose a set of 3 shrimp tacos, a cheesy sirloin taco, and the chips and salsa to split. Explosive bold and craveable flavors in the tacos that were rounded out nicely by the fresh chips and salsa. All for $25 plus tip! Will absolutely be coming back here when we come back to Ocracoke! Just be aware that they close pretty early.

Our last full day in the Outer Banks came so quickly! Since it was so beautiful, we took the ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke and spent the day there. When it got to be time for lunch, we spotted a tiny spot right off the main drag called Eduardo's and gave it a whirl. What a wonderful surprise and delight it turned out to be!

As we walked up, we saw plenty of outdoor seating available on wooden tables with umbrellas and changed our minds on just eating our food in the car. However, also note that consumption of alcohol on the premises is prohibited so PG-rated drinks only if youre bringing your own. A water spicket and courtesy bowl to fill drinking water for those bringing their pets along was a considerate touch as well!

The menu is centered around tacos and burritos but offers a plentiful variety of them to choose from, including pork, beef, steak, shrimp, seafood, and even vegetarian options! I plan on trying the tuna tacos on our next visit, since I heard they were delicious. But for this time we weren't that hungry and since my better half is allergic to tuna, we went with a set of three shrimp tacos, one cheesy steak taco, and chips and salsa.

The flavors these tacos had were amazing! Fresh lime and cilantro, spicy salsa, savory meat, melty cheese--my mouth is watering just thinking about them as I write this! The shrimp and steak both packed tons of flavor and were cooked to perfection. The cheesy steak taco is something I would order over and over again and never get tired of! While we wanted to get more, we were both very satisfied splitting what we ordered.

The total bill was just under $25, which is extremely reasonable considering the location and what we were getting. We left full and fueled up for the rest of our day on the island. Thank you so much for the...

My parents have been to Ocracoke twice and brought my husband, brother and sister in law this year. We were recommended this place by everyone - from nurses (don’t ask) in Nags Heads to the fisherman working the seafood shops in Hatteras where we’re staying. When we looked it up on IG and Google we saw this will be their last summer so this is a review, a thank you and a good bye. If you make it this season, you are among the luckiest of humans to experience this lovely place. Thank you Eduardo and Karen for working as hard as you do to bring your food which so evidently holds a piece of your heart and soul in every dish you serve, to tourists and locals alike. As people sit on your picnic tables and congregate around tacos and burritos (available on gluten free tortillas!) we get we to share an experience and meet each other… which I suspect has been the goal all along. Food and bev is a tough lifestyle and you have given so much to this beautiful slice of heaven we humans call Ocracoke, please know how much every Red Drum taco and Chilaquiles you have served has meant to us all. Breakfast & lunch will not be the same without you guys but you can end this season knowing the impression you have made on us all will live on forever. If you, reader, have made it this far and it’s still 2025.. run, do not walk. Get on the plane, get on the ferry and grab Eduardo’s before it’s too late. Eduardo, Karen and team.. thank you again.

After readings so many raving reviews, we had to try Eduardo’s Taco Stand on Ocracoke Island. The stand is conveniently located just across the street from the road to the lighthouse. The outdoor seating is abundant and comfortable, complete with umbrellas. The only bad thing about Eduardo’s is that there are so many yummy options it’s really hard to know what to pick. We were a group of eight, so we were able to try a variety of options and while everything was great, we definitely had our favorites. The top of our list was the Shrimp tacos with lettuce, pico de gallo, and avocados on a flour tortilla. – The spice blend on the shrimp was complete on point and the acidity of the topping balanced everything perfectly. Next on our list was the Cheesy Grill Shrimp Mango Taco. If you’re wondering why, it’s cheesy, it’s because there are two corn tortillas with cheese in between that are toasted on a griddle before adding the taco ingredients. This taco was fantastic, but definitely on the richer side. You would not want more than two and if you had two you would be stuffed. My daughter had the chicken and cheese quesadilla… I know what you’re thinking, “it’s chicken and cheese, what’s the big deal?” Well, all I can say is that the flavor of the grilled chicken was exceptional, and it was the best quesadilla I’ve ever tasted. It even came with salsa and sour cream for dipping. What a great place for a great meal!
