Hand's down, THE place to rent from on the Island. We took our teenage girls for a day of Ocracoke fun and knew that a golf cart had to be involved. We came in via Hatteras Ferry, parked at the other end of the island and walked the super short distance to Ocracoke Island Golf Carts. The nicest guy had us almost immediately in a great little cart with a powerful battery that was ready to go for our entire adventure with offers to just "bring it right back and we'll swap it out if the battery runs down or there's any other issues!" It took almost no time at all to rent and we had a blast exploring all the amazing little streets. It is the best way to get around! We were having an incredible day until we ran into a snag at a local eatery that kept losing our order and it took an hour to get our food instead of 10 minutes. It seriously ate into our golf cart fun time and made us run over a little on our cart rental. We took the cart back and the same guy was just so incredibly nice about it. He didn't even ask why we had run over, he just said "No worries! Can I throw away any of your trash for you?!" and told us to have a great day. I was blown away. Who has customer service like that anymore?! I didn't even have to give a sob story! I promised him we'd back and would only be renting from them from here on out. To the (I'm sorry I didn't catch your name) "long haired, surfer like dude" : Know that you spun our day right back around to the level of perfection and we can't thank you enough! A+++ 5 out of 5 stars. Highly...
Read moreI wish I could give 0 stars. We parked at the sign that said no carts past this point, and walked to the airport from that point, about a mile walk. When I posted a negative review, look at the lies they posted about the cart was at the airport Complete lies. We called the Sheriffs department to ask about these lies, and they had no log of having to contact them about a cart at the airport. Anything with law enforcement is public record, don’t lie we can request it. They picked this cart up on the legal side of the sign, which according to the sheriff is the point carts can park, but not go past. Complete lies, to cover their actions. You want to have a good vacation, stay away from these rude, lying northerners. These people are rude northerners, use wheelie not these clowns. I rented a cart from these rude people, they called me saying it needed charging, and would I bring it buy too swap out. I didn’t have time, We only had two days on the island, and drove down to the sign that says, no carts past this point. We walked the mile to the airport, and went flying. They called and asked where the cart was. When we got back, the cart was gone, and when I called them. I got a rude man saying we took it, and we could walk. Just normal rude northerner’s. If you want to leave Ocracoke in a great mood, stay away from these clowns 🤡 Also look at the replies to all negative reviews. After dealing with these lying people, I don’t believe any of the replies they post on...
Read moreTo preface, I have been going to Ocracoke for several years, I lived in the OBX for a brief stint, and renting carts from here has never been an issue despite my age. While it has been brought up in the past, usually because of my familiarity with the area and in general my level of responsibility, it hasn’t been an issue. However, this year the lady working decided to make it an issue. From the moment we walked in, this middle-aged blonde woman was extremely rude. She also neglected to bring up the age limit until after I was done filling out all of the paper work. When I had brought up that I had rented here before, another employee said “if they have rented before it shouldn’t be an issue” to which she snapped “I’m handling it!” In response. Then I had to endure another 3 or so minutes of her being rude and then offering to give us our coupon back as if we could even use it. I’ve never had customer service issues on Ocracoke except for here and I took my business elsewhere with no issues. I could have easily asked my parents to rent the cart but I was not going to satisfy them with any business after the way I...
