Ranger came out literally just after I tied up to interrogate me about whether I had payed. I actually had payed after being there less than a half hour. I was the only boat in the marina. I can see why. I showed him my confirmation which is all done on the parks app and then he scolded me multiple times because I hadn't yet put the paper up in the window. Over priced items and the female employee must have been asleep when we asked where the museum was that was previously housed in the visiter center. She told us it was all moved to the museum across the street so we hauled over with our 4 year old excited grandaughter as quick as we could to be back in time for the 10:00 Ferry. Closed! The museum opened at 10:00. Just added to the frustration that a good visiter center worker could of helped to prevent instead of causing. Very helpful staff. Sailed in and picked up a dock pass for a few days. The restrooms are minimal but clean and available 24 hours (no shower). Staff was not allowed to make recommendations for where to eat or have a beer but they did give some guidance on some must see spots in the area. Being on a boat, we walked quite a bit and wound up eating and drinking on the boat most of the time because prices were high for the quality and quantity of food the bars/restaurants serve here.
