Found ourselves craving fresh seafood and decided to grab lunch at Jason’s. Despite the place being quite busy, we were seated within about five minutes—a promising start!

We ordered a variety of dishes: the cold Italian sub, spicy chicken wings, Greek salad with blackened shrimp, blackened fresh fish sandwich, and blackened shrimp dinner.

COLD ITALIAN SUB The cold Italian sub came with chips and was flavorful and satisfying. Wish it had more seasoning and spice, but it was good nonetheless.

SPICY CHICKEN WINGS The spicy chicken wings had a nice kick, but weren’t overwhelming. Would’ve been great if they were more flavorful, but they were fried nicely.

GREEK SALAD The Greek salad with blackened shrimp was fresh, with perfectly seasoned shrimp that added a great smoky depth. All the ingredients were fresh and crunchy. Feta wasn’t overwhelming, just perfect.

FRESH FISH SANDWICH The blackened fresh fish sandwich, also served with chips, was a highlight with its flaky, well-seasoned fish.

SHRIMP DINNER The blackened shrimp dinner, which came with garlic bread and cocktail sauce, was another standout—generous portions and bursting with flavor. The garlic bread was delish and went with the shrimp, which was cooked to perfection. Super tender and juicy.

Service was fast and friendly, making the experience even better. Overall, Jason’s delivered on both taste and efficiency, and it’s a spot I’d happily return to for a quick and delicious...

The pizza was decent. The toppings did separate from the crust very easily when eating, but the flavor was good. Now the bad. . . The servers working when we were there seemed extremely inexperienced. We ordered hushpuppies for an appetizer. About 15 mins later we heard one of the waitresses in the kitchen say, "I'm going to give these hushpuppies to a table over here for free." The problem was they were for our table and we had actually ordered them. We heard the entire ordeal in the kitchen of the cooks saying, "why did you do that, they were for an order" and then her saying "whoops, do you want me to leave? I guess I'll never get a Friday shift again."

At this point, our waitress brought our pizza to us, and didn't even mention anything about the hush puppies, so I asked her about them. She said, "oh yeah, there coming." No apology, nothing . . . Despite the fact she had asked specifically if we wanted them as an appetizer, and we had said yes. We told her if they weren't made yet we didn't want them anymore since we already had our food. She said, "ok they aren't made no problem." About 5 mins later, she brought us the hushpuppies anyway, again with no apology or explanation. For what it's worth they were also very clearly Sysco huspuppies and very poor quality compared to other local restaurants.

All said, maybe we caught them on an off day but we...

I would not recommend that place. Some of their menu items is "market" price which is very common with seafood places so that's not the issue. Usually there is a board or something with prices. This place didn't have one so you have to ask the server. The issue is the server didn't know those prices, she was guessing 27, 28 etc. I guess I got lucky another server overhead this and gave the right price, which was 30 for crab cakes. It almost feels like they could tell you pretty much any random price. I didn't like that but it gets worse Said crab cakes were a tasteless mush. Definitely not worth the "guessed" price. On top of that we came as a group but they didn't have tables big enough for us so we were split on different tables with different servers and different checks (not even adjacent or close by) which is ok however they still went ahead and charged the 18% gratuity based on 5 or more. Not only most places charge this based on 6 or more but the way we were split we were no more than 4 people per table so this is iffy at best. On top of that automatic gratuity they have the nerve to add ANOTHER "add a tip" on the final receipt. All that for nasty tasteless mush...

The food was alright, got there right when they opened back up. I got the cheesesteak, my little girl got a cheese pizza, and my wife got the 3 fish platter which had blackened flounder as the fish of the day. My cheesesteak was ehh for all the other ones I've tasted. The pizza wasn't too bad for what it was, but the flounder and crab cake was amazing! I know you're a little restricted on where to eat on the island but I'd go back and order the fish platter. It was good, and I wish I ordered what my wife ordered! If you're wanting a 10/10 cheesteak that one isn't it. But I'd go to the restaurant again!
