The food was good. I've been here two days in a row. However yesterday I was treated great by the waitress that served me and today I was treated like I should not have come. The food was served hot and ready to enjoy yesterday and today it was just warm. Yesterday the color of my skin did not seem to matter and today it seemed to matter a lot. Others around me shall I say were catered to, by the waitress that served me, while I was continually ignored. Perspectives can be different from all however when I see people sitting down at a table across from mine, who seem to be accepted by this waitress and have been there less time than I have being asked multiple questions about what they want, how they want it and making sure they are happy and not once is this happening to myself I can't help but wonder if I just got the right waitress yesterday or if it was simply a fluke and people like myself are actually not welcome. However the food was good although it was prepared properly yesterday and not today. I would not recommend this place to anyone because no one should ever have to feel the way I do today after being treated unequal. All people deserve the same treatment no matter their race, color, creed, sex or religion. I wish these people well and may they be blessed in their...
Read moreI resisted going to this place for a long time based on the reviews in this and other venues, some good and some not so good! I heard it is under new ownership so I decided to finally give it a try today. One of the things people commented a lot on was their salsa! Yes, it is not the typical mild and common tomato based salsa you find at most Mexican food restaurants in these parts. It is a green salsa probably made with extra hot roasted long green chilies or jalapenos and yes it is pretty warm. This is very typical of the type if salsas you'll find at Mex food restaurants in El Paso, which I hear the owners are from. I had the Menudo and it was relatively good. They served it with a Mexican bolillo bread which is very typical of El Paso also. The service was good and fast. I did observe the food being served to other folks and it looked very good. I also noticed the Sopes on the menu which you don't see at other Mex food restaurants here. All in all, I thought it was pretty good and will have to come back and give it another try. One thing I exoerienced and agree with another review, the waitress hovered over while I was paying the bill at the table. That was...
Read morePlease look at the prices on the menu 17.84 for a moharra frita, then look at the price on the actual bill, 18.55. I asked the waiter, husband of the owner about it and the following happens: He calls his wife on the phone and first she tells me she has added the tax already, however; the bill reflects an additional amount for sales tax. I mentioned this to her and now she states it's a fee for using either a debit card or credit card. The problem was I had not mentioned how I was paying yet!!!
I will not patronize liars or thieves. If you need me to gift you charity, ask me, but don't steal from me.
By the way this not the tip. I always leave cash tips to ensure the waiter or waitress get their funds immediately.
Please be active in reviewing your receipts. We have sales tax laws for a reason.
This owner not only disrespected me the customer, but assumed I was ignorant of business and professional codes, needless to say accounting.
