Jorges Cafe — Restaurant in Odessa

Avoid this place like the plague if you like mods on your food. I went in today with my father to eat. I ordered the combo nachos. So I expected only beans and ground beef on my nachos. Well it came with jalapenos and onions which were not mentioned on the menu with it. When I explain I am allergic to onions that I would just like cheese nachos instead. They said and I quote "There is nothing wrong with the nachos we are still gonna charge you for them." Like who does that. If there is something wrong with the food you fix it. But not at this place. They charge for the mistake and did not even try to reslove the issue. Then they say tell me I am being disrespectful for not eating their food? To hell with this place. I will never eat here again and I advise everyone to avoid this place if you value your money. They charged us 40 bucks for food we never ate. Seated within 5 minutes. Our drink orders were taken and when I received mine, the cup was dirty and I was able to scratch food off the inside with my straw. Gross! Anyway, ordered our food. Me and my daughter split the 2 taco 2 enchilada plate that came with rice and beans. My husband ordered the Chile Re. That was supposed to be fried. No. It was like a omelet with the Chile and chicken. My husband did not want a omelet! He ended up just eating the meat and Chile. He's now here at home eating more food because it didn't get full. When we got the ticket, I noticed I was charged $19 almost $20 for the plate me and my daughter split. I was very tired and wasn't even going to make a deal about it even though I wanted to. I love their tacos but I will not be going back. They have raised fbe prices waaaaay to high for the quality and quantity of food you get. It was obvious that my precooked food had been sitting out because, as you can see in the picture, it had these hardened edges. Had I not been "starving " from being at work all day without a lunch, I would have sent it back. I hate sending food back & I hate to be wasteful & worry when I do have to send food back. I was not impressed at all with my food in any way. I am thankful my glass of tea was kept full, to help me swallow the bad Barbacoa. I was very disappointed with the authenticity of the food. With all the other options near by, I would think they would try harder. I also noticed on the OVER PRICED menu that a basic bean & cheese Chalupa was $10 for 1!!! That's ridiculous.
