I once ordered the Pad-Thai for delivery. The delivery menu did not state that there was fish oil in the pad-thai and it is not typically made with fish oil in my experience (and I have pad-thai a lot and try it at any place that serves it because it's my favorite thai dish.) Waitr had the restaurant remake it without fish oil and they re-delivered it.
So the next time I ordered it (last night), I put "NO FISH OIL" on the order. It was delivered and had been made, again, with Fish Oil (something I have an allergy to and find absolutely repulsive anyway) so I took a benedryl and contacted Waitr. Waitr called Volcano and they asked Waitr if I was okay with Soy Sauce. I said that I was and the meal was redelivered again. BUT IT STILL HAD FISH OIL IN IT! Waitr cannot issue a refund as they already did a redelivery and that's fine because it's not Waitr's fault. They had called Volcano and Volcano promised they would make the meal without fish oil and still put fish oil in it anyway.
This not only shows a lack of care for customer taste and preference, but also a lack of care in preventing allergic reactions. Others have told me that even though they advise staff to make sure shellfish doesn't come into contact with their food, they still end up having a reaction as they don't clean the grill off or separate items as they should.
PEOPLE WITH ALLERGIES BEWARE! Not getting my money back and Volcano won't...
Read moreI was there las night & the food was good, but I happened to leave my phone on the table for literally less than five minutes and came back for it. I talked to the hostess which also happened to be our server and told her I left my phone on the table and she told me we didn't leave anything. I stood there for a minute wondering if she was going to go check the booth we sat in and no she wasn't worried about it. She was so rude! At that point I heard my phone ring since I had asked my husband to keep calling so I could fund it easier. I told her I hear my phone and she just ignored me and stood against the hostess podium. I told her that I think its in that drawer and she opened it. Sure enough, it was in there going off. She just turned red and was embarrassed that I had found it. I grabbed my phone and left. The server was very dishonest & I will not be going back. If you can't trust your server with an item you may have forgotten for five minutes, can you trust them running your card and not robbing you??! Clearly she knew it was in there by her body language and my phone is nothing special y'all...it has a cracked screen with a peeling...
Read moreWith few customers in-house the service was severely lacking. The server came only to take the order, deliver the drinks and food, and the bill. No effort made to check on how the food was or if we needed anything else. The gyoza was obviously just dropped in a deep fryer and no effort put into the preparation. I ordered the jalapeño chicken for $10.99 and received a plate with a little over a cups worth of tiny breaded "chicken" and vegetables. The meat was cut to a quarter inch size and tasted like it was just breaded chicken skin with corn starch. Five jalapeño slices, three carrot slices, and lots of diced onions in an overly sweet sauce completed the dish. Based on the almost unfriendly service and the poor quality of food preparation for the price, this place is not recommended even though they have good ratings. If they were in Houston they would never make it and end up having to move so they could gouge the oilfield workers in the Midland/Odessa area. High prices do not ensure high quality. Very...
