So I just finished eating here around 30 minutes ago and I had probably one of the worst experiences with an employee by the name of Allison. So I go in and placed my order to go. As I waited sitting at the bench they have. I noticed a girl walking around sipping a drinking and just having the ugliest sour look on her face. Not until 5- 7 minutes later did I realize that she was an employee (not because she was working, but because she was wearing the uniform and walked to the back of the kitchen area). So 15 minutes passed and my order was out, still I haven't seen Allison work or do anything to help out her coworkers. Since she wasn't doing anything and since I needed a refill, I asked her for one. She did not even say anything to me and gave me the most ugliest look and frankly looked at me as if I was stupid or demanding too much. As she refilled my drink, she actually stuck the drink into the spout of the Tea container which is extremely unsanitary and then spills my drink. Since she spilled some of my drink, I asked her if she could refill it again. That probably over loaded her since she gave me a sour look again. I took my drink and thanked her even though she was very rude and did not say a word to me. I asked one of the employees for her name to write this review. Allison, I really hope you work on that attitude honey. It is a shame that I won't no longer be coming to this location since it is right next to the university and...
Read moreThis was the worst experience I've ever had. I order online and paid for it and one of my co-workers decided they wanted food after I already ordered. I placed an order online for her as well. I got to the restaurant and wait in the line to pick up to go orders for over 20 minutes and get to the window where the cashier tells me they can only do one order per car and I would have to get at the back of the line or go inside and wait in line. I tell him how ridiculous that is and I've never been told that and be he said I'm sorry. So I give him the cash for my co-workers order and tell him to cancel my order then and he said ok. He would rather waste food than give out good customer service. I told him to refund my card and he said ok, check with your bank in a day or 2 and I told him no, I want an actual receipt showing my card being credited back and it took him about 5 minutes to do that. Longer than it would have taken him to just hand me my food that was sitting right there and already paid for ahead of time. Josh is his name and he's the"general manager". He needs customer service training in a bad way. I will never go back to this location and I won't eat at any McAlisters for a while because of him. I am so mad. And I had to go back to work with no time to go anywhere else to get food from somewhere else, so I just wondon't eat today....
Read moreMcALISTER’S definitely lacks the WOW factor it once had. I visited the McALISTER’S on east 42nd street yesterday. The help appeared to be less than enthusiastic while serving their guest. I realize they are short handed, but where is the store manager. The young lady at the register could have used a managers assistance yesterday. We stood in line for about 25 min. I consider asking anyone to stand in line longer than 10 minutes, unacceptable. Our food was acceptable, just not up to McALISTER’S original excellence standard. The famous sweet tea was not good. Any other restaurant or drive through, in this area, has much better tea. The staff was sloppily dressed. Customers always appreciate a clean and neat staff, especially when they are preparing and cooking their food. The staff’s personal hygiene seems to need attention, as well. Finally, the very worst part of the visit...... The one spotless sandwich shop is now in need a good cleaning with a strong disinfectant. Should include entryways, restrooms, bottom of booths, table legs etc. Is hospitality a thing of the past for...
