Noel’s Tacos in Ogallala is one of those hidden gems that feels like you just stumbled into someone’s celebration. That breakfast burrito you had sounds legendary — a full-on feast wrapped in a tortilla, with fresh steak, cheese, and potatoes balanced by the cilantro and onions. The pan-fried jalapeños and onions on the side were the perfect fiery touch. What really sets the place apart is their salsa bar: not just a token couple of jars, but a whole salad-bar-sized spread of salsas, each with its own kick and character. Pair that with a bright, clean, festive interior and you’ve got a spot that captures the joy of a proper Mexican kitchen. Noel’s clearly takes pride in making food that’s fresh, hearty, and worth slowing down to savor. If every road-trip breakfast could be like this, nobody would mind getting up before dawn.

I'm traveling, so it's always hard to know what to expect. The Pollo Verde was better than I hoped!! The sauce is tangy and full of flavor, very mild. The rice was soft, not undercooked. The beans are classic. The portion is large for the price. I didn't know it came with a small bag of chips and 3 different little containers of salsa: verde, regular, and spicy. That was a nice surprise! I have special instructions, corn tortillas and no dairy. They followed everything, which is really appreciate because otherwise I'd be sick. Since I'm in a hotel, it was also nice that there was a fork and napkins included.

This is literally the best burrito I have ever had in my life. I will never be able to have another burrito again without comparing it to this one. The pork burrito is beyond amazing. It is like a full body experience. Literally. It is all over my white dress, but I had to lickevery taste of it off my fingers because the meat is marinated so well and even the tortilla taste homemade. I would literally drive to Nebraska just to get a burrito at this place. I’m serious when I say this. I added a picture of me after eating this burrito. This is how happy I am. My dress is a mess, but you cannot see it.

I don't like leaving negative reviews. I always give the opportunity to make things right.

We went to dinner late after fishing. Ordered to go. The staff was engaged with several individuals that were in their drinking I gave my order at least three times. Cook even came back out and asked a couple times about our order. I specifically ordered a burrito smothered with pork chili, chile relleno plate, and a soft taco plate. The soft tacos are wrapped in some type of paper. By the time we opened them the tortillas were completely stuck to the paper, there was no saving the tacos. The chile rellenos looked very good, but had awful freezer burn. I ended up with a burrito that had some kind of tomato paste on top instead of a smothered pork chili burrito. The rice was dry and a little hard but I guess that is to be expected at 11:00 p.m.

I called and spoke to a gentleman named AC and he apologized and promised to make it right by refunding the order. Since we were not locals, I couldn't just go back anytime. Wow that was very nice. However they haven't answered the phone since and I have not received a refund and it is going on 3 weeks. They blocked my phone number. I finally called from my husband's phone number and somebody answered right away but still never refunded the order. Super...

I walked in to this building and no one was around. The place was empty. Salsa bar empty. No employees to be seen. Then one person walked out from a dark office. I asked if they were open and they said yes. I read the great reviews on Google and my family and I wanted to try it as we love Mexican food.

We were reading the digital menus and the person who said they were the only ones working said. No don't order from there and handed me a printout with grease stains all over it and said order from here.

The three of us all ordered the same thing. Wet burritos. The enchilada sauce that was on top looked like pizza sauce or just straight up tomato paste and tasted like it hand a lb of sugar inside of it. It was like Hunts spaghetti sauce out of can.

As I cut into my burrito what looked like clear water poured out from the inside. I took a bite and regretted it instantly. I wanted to ask for a refund but the person working disappeared with one of two of their friends who had shown up on their scooters, into the back. At this point my family had just left as the food was this inedable. Worst 50 dollars spent and a 20 minutes I can...

We wanted some home cooked style food while on our road trip and this restaurant definitely delivered. We’re Mexicanos from Los Angeles, CA so we know what authentic Mexican food tastes like. The enchiladas Guadalajara plate was flavorful and my husband devoured the whole thing. I had some street/ mini tacos (tripas, cabeza, asada, annd pollo) and they were authentic and lots of meat. We also had the quesabirria tacos with consume, that too was delicious. I absolutely loved their rice. We also had their mojorra, which was fried whole tilapia. That was the best!! Crunchy and super tasty. We also had the tilapia and shrimp plate. That too did not disappoint. We had lots of left overs so we ate it for lunch the next still have enough for dinner as well. It was definitely worth the stop! We’re surprisingly impressed that an authentic Mexican restaurant on the side of I-80 in Nebraska exists. Make sure you stop here if you want AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD while away from home. SERVICE was also friendly...
