Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Ogallala

Ohhh Scooter's I heart you! We make it a point to find a Scooters location when we can, not being from an area that has them. We needed a caffeine boost on our road trip through Nebraska. I decided I wanted an ice coffee for my turn at the wheel and my husband made it happen. I used the restroom while he ordered for us, it was very clean but a little chilly (brrr) and the music was really blasting in there (hello, old lady alert apparently! Complaining about music being too loud!).

My husband ordered me an iced coffee "Boston style" which is a very common order in the Chicagoland area but in Nebraska not so much. He had to explain that it was 3/4 coffee and 1/4 cream. Welllllll they used lovely, rich heavy whipping cream at Scooters!! Who knew??? So, they mixed up the ratio and did 1/4 coffee and 3/4 HWC. I about died from the texture and flavor, although I did laugh A LOT that they thought I wanted to basically drink HWC, what they must think of us Illinoisans??? I would typically give any scooters coffee 5 stars but these guys only get 3. I have been driving an hr and a half every week just for a scooters coffee. Every week is just as disappointing as the last. I order a very simple drink (blended caramelisious, extra shot and no whip) and when you look into the window at the monitor you clearly see my order the way I ordered it but when I get it there's alwasy whip. Makes me wonder if I ever even got the extra shots I've paid for.

New review: this is by far the worst scooters I've been to. Management reached out to me but I never heard anything back. Drinks are still never correct. No matter if I order online or at the window. Today there was so much half and half in my drink you couldn't even taste the coffee even with an extra shot. I used to love scooters and this is the closest one to me. Very quickly becoming a 7...

Great, friendly place to stop and charge a laptop!

We stopped by during a long trip to refresh with a coffee and a cookie (yes, just a bite this time) and we found it was very welcoming. The coffee was full-bodied - not bitter! - and we shared the chocolate chip cookie. The chips themselves were not super-sweet, so it was a pleasant side to the coffee.

Plenty of power outlets, the crew is welcoming and the restrooms were clean, so that particular location gets high reviews.

Keep up the good work: a welcoming smile, a variety of baked goods, good, fresh coffee, a clean store and clean bathrooms will keep customers...
