If you like American Mexican food it's not too bad of a place.. I will say this, their restaurant on 7th. & Washington has much better tasting food than their restaurant down on wall, for some reason.. The service was good our waitress was just there to do her job & wasn't the friendliest waitress I've had before.. My biggest issue with this place was they are not willing to make any exceptions for you regarding the menu, for instance I just wanted 1 taco & 2 of their rolled tacos (I can't remember exactly what they were called) but our waitress was straight up no the order of the rolled tacos or whatever they were called only comes in I think she had said 4 & 6 or I could get their appetizer ones that were basically the generic version of the rolled tacos (whatever they call them) they were half's & there were I think 12 that came on the appetizer plate w/no toppings those were my only choices I was like you can't just charge me half for the 2 rolled tacos, she again said no so that's my only issue I don't see why they couldn't do that but I don't own a restaurant although I have had many restaurants do what ever they can to accommodate you their customer(s) The atmosphere was Mexican It seemed like it was pretty clean. Family friendly or if you are dining alone, either one is a good place to enjoy some they call it Authentic Mexican I call it American Mexican food.. forgot to take photos hopefully I'll remember on my...
Read moreI like to leave thorough reviews so here goes. I ordered the El Rancho Quesedilla with chicken. It was good, but was small for the price I paid ($13.50). They were heavy on the chicken and light on the cheese. IMO the dish could be better with more cheese inside. The tortilla was soggy from the sauce in the chicken which made it messy to eat. Quesedillas should be edible with your hands, but I had to use a fork and knife because of the soggy tortilla. The refried beans that came with it were very good. Not too liquid which I like. Rice was also good and flavorful, but again there was too little for the price I paid. The chips were fresh and delicious. The guacamole was fresh, but lacked flavor and tasted too much like plain avocado. Easy fixes here... more cheese (in quesadilla and melted on the beans), less sauce in the chicken so the tortilla stays crisp, and more seasoning in the guac. Overall the food was good, but too pricey. I ordered this for lunch and in most cases a quesadilla with rice and beans shouldn't be more than $10 unless its giant (which this was not). The place was clean and the service was very friendly. Management should take note that by lowering prices a few dollars on each meal they will likely draw more customers at a high enough rate to more than make up for the lower cost. Hope this helps both the restaurant do better and the consumer to choose if this is the right...
Read moreIf you're from Ogden, then you know this place is a staple. My kids have grown up in these restaurants. The owner and his entire staff at ALL of his locations are top shelf. Kind, friendly, and very welcoming. However.....we went this last week( it's been a while) and while all the cleanliness and friendliness was still there, the food seemed to have e slipped a bit, portions seemed much smaller, rice seemed different, beans were very thin and just the overall appearance of our food was lacking. Toooo much enchilada sauce was all over our food, making it soggy and hard to taste the flavors we have always enjoyed. Pricing everywhere has sky rocketed, so it's not just here, but it was pretty pricy for what we received. 63.00$ for two dinner entrees and one appetizer as an entree and TWO sodas. We for the first time in 27 years were disappointed...
