Went in so excited! Came out quite disappointed. The food was just always so cold or barely heated. After reading several good reviews me and my partner heading in excited for our lunch date at 11:51, just an hour after opening. We paid just 33 with the added gratuity and we added 3 extra dollars leaving us at 36 for the afternoon. We were greeted and seated quickly and kindly. i have no complaints for the workers. All of the staff were kind and just as attentive as they needed to be. I saw someone cleaning and replacing the things in the buffet through the stay. However all the food was just cold. Even white rice right of the rice cooker was barely warm. My partner had some of the seafood boil and it wasn't as satisfactory as we hoped with the shrimp being cold. But the corn was good. There were no crab legs which was the main goal of ours. And the boba is ONLY DINNER. Heart struck but i'm sure it's for a reason i just wanted to be aware. i got the sushi which out of all the rolls i tried the sweetheart one was by far the best. i had to spit one roll out I was just so conflicted and it did NOT taste right. I also dappled in the fruit right next to it and that was delicious. No complaints for Kimchi but with all my food being cold and displeasing I couldn't finish my plates. it's also space themed which caught me by surprise in and very OPEN. The Chick-fil-a right across the street greater us with a smile and free samples of a new shake, which were delicious. Our tummies our...

I was charged full adult pricing, even for my child, because their pricing is based on height, not age. Since we visited during weekend lunch hours, we were charged dinner prices—yet many of the dinner options weren’t even available. If you're going to charge full price, the full selection should be offered.

The hot food wasn’t hot at all—it was lukewarm and extremely dry. The sushi tasted like a bad case of food poisoning waiting to happen and was not even edible. Drinks weren’t included in the price and the boba teas were awful. The desserts were dry, and the ice cream had a strong chemical taste.

Despite all that, I was originally going to leave a fair 3-star review because the service was decent and the staff seemed friendly. They had a spinning wheel for kids to win a small prize or coupon if you left a Google review, which I thought was a fun touch. But when I showed them my honest 3-star review, I was told my child couldn’t spin the wheel unless I changed it to 4 stars or higher. This was incredibly disappointing—especially since I had already paid full adult pricing for her meal.

I don’t mind paying full price on weekends or following an age based pricing policy, but trying to pressure guests into leaving inflated reviews in exchange for a cheap toy or $2 coupon felt shady. It made me seriously question how many of the positive reviews I read beforehand were actually real, which left a very negative final impression.

I won’t...

Tried Ombu Buffet in Ogden by Ocean Mart

Dinner was about $70 for 2. We got there about 5:30 on a Saturday and there was a line. It got longer and doubled by the time we left an hour later. I think it took us about 15 mins in line. But it’s pretty quick once you’re seated.

They’re very kind and it was good service (considering it was a buffet). The buffet is big and drinks, including boba, are included. There’s milk boba that has brown sugar in it and no caffeine. I drank water but it looked like the other drinks were juice.

It’s clean and efficient. Lots of tables.

I love crab legs and they had steamed and Cajun seasoned. Be sure to grab the cracker tool and gloves, it’s messy. People get huge plates of crab (it goes fast) but they keep it refilled.

Other favs include walnut shrimp, gyoza, mushrooms, crab salad, salmon, general soa’s chicken (spell).

I didn’t get any fruit. Most things were really fresh.

I was so full but we ate some fortune cookies and vanilla ice cream for dessert (I didn’t like it, to me it had a strange taste).

There’s kid’s food like pizza, fries, fried rice and chicken nuggets.

Came really hungry and left totally happy and full. Way better than any other Asian...

OMG!BEST DEAL EVER!! For people saying it’s pricey, let’s do the math. For $29.99, you get unlimited seafood like snow crab legs, oysters, steak, shrimp, crawfish, turbot, salmon etc. I was honestly shocked because food prices are crazy right now with all the inflation. They also have Peking duck, sushi, fresh sashimi, classic Chinese dishes, ice cream, and the desserts. They have so many fancy cakes to pick from. And don’t even get me started on the boba drinks, they are so good. Every penny is worth it dude. Honestly, I don’t even know how this place makes money. And if you’re not big on seafood, LUNCH is a great option too. It’s like half the price, and besides a little less seafood, there’s still a ton to choose from. Just a heads-up though, weekends are dinner price all day. Also, I don’t mind their 10% service charge at all. Honestly, it makes things easier as I don’t have to do tip math. But I still bring some cash just in case my server is super nice even though they say no tip is expected. Anyway, we‘re regulars at Ombu Buffet now and we will definitely bring more friends.

We went in in this new buffet at about 6: ish pm. This is dinner rush time to most restaurants, buffets and fast foods. OMBU buffet in Ogden is not prepared for the rush. All foods under the heating table are dried and tough and this is not acceptable. It's 26 dollars per adult plus drinks (buffet) non of the food is worth eating. It made my stomach feel really bad. They use shallow dish under Heather to make small amount until that particular dish is either gone (sold) or too old to eat . before they'll bring out another plate to drop back in the pan. As though they are measuring everything they put out on the heating table tightly watch the cost. The floor attendants are circling around our table closely and they are so anoying. Pros: the place is clean cons: they are thrifty for a buffet and foods are so dried ( overheated..overcooked dried) and very little disbursements. They'll wait until all the old foods are gone before adding a little more. Very wrong food service practices. We won't be going back. So disappointed 😞

Omni Buffet is one of those places that instantly feels inviting the moment you walk in — bright, spacious, and full of energy. The variety here is honestly unmatched. Every station is constantly refreshed, and nothing ever sits too long or dries out. Whether you’re in the mood for sushi, fresh seafood, grilled meats, or classic comfort dishes, everything looks (and tastes) freshly made. The staff deserves special mention — they’re always nearby but never intrusive. Plates disappear from your table like magic, and any spills or clutter are cleaned up before you even think about it. They really keep the place spotless, which is impressive given how busy it can get. And the best part? The price. For what you get — this much selection, quality, and attentive service — it’s a great deal. Perfect for hungry adults or, in my case, a growing kid who’s always hungry. Omni Buffet hits that rare sweet spot: affordable, delicious, and extremely well-run. Definitely one of the best buffet experiences around!
