Being a Taiwanese and a boba milk tea drinker for 30+ years. I can’t tell you how excited and happy I was when Aboutea opened in Ogden! I’m especially very picky about the taste of milk tea and the texture of boba. The owner Oscar and his team nail the milk to tea ratio and they know how to cook good boba. Their boba is hands down one of the best tasting bobas I’ve ever had (bouncy and chewy with a hint of brown sugar)!

If you are looking for an authentic boba/bubble tea experience, Aboutea is definitely the place to go! Aboutea is a boba tea chain from Taiwan, the birthplace of boba tea and where it all began. All the teas and ingredients they use are imported straight from Taiwan (except for their matcha, which is imported from Japan). Also just from my own experiences, I’d never buy boba milk tea from an Asian restaurant (whether it is Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese or Thai) here in the US because 9 out of 10 times that I’ve ordered boba milk tea from those places, they were just straight disappointments. I only get boba milk tea from big boba tea brand/chain that specializes in making boba tea because I know the quality is guaranteed to be good.

I order my “Happy Drink” (green milk tea with boba) from Aboutea every week. To me, Oscar is not just selling boba tea, he is also selling warmth and taste of home whenever I miss...

I've only ordered delivery, so I can't speak to the atmosphere or direct service, but I will say I LOVE this place! I love boba, and this has become one of my favorites. The tea always has great flavor! I've had several different drinks here. I love the classic milk tea which they let you choose between several teas, I usually stick to black. They have you pick your sweetness level, which is honey, allowing you to keep it from being overly sweet! Everything is made to be fresh and taste amazing! Another tea I've really come to enjoy is their mango green tea!! It's slightly sweet and refreshing!! They also have some decadent type of drinks that are a delicious treat!! I LOVE to get their chocolate milk tea with cheese foam.. I know it sounds weird... go do it and then tell me it's weird.. haha. Its rich chocolate isn't overly sweet, but it is sweet. Aboutea is hands down the best bubble tea restaurant I have ever been to. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to help you find the perfect drink to suit your tastes.

But the real star of the show at Aboutea is the bubble tea itself. The quality of the ingredients is top notch, with fresh fruit and high-quality teas used in every drink. The boba pearls are perfectly chewy and sweet, adding a delightful texture to each sip. Let me tell ya though, they actually have COFFEE JELLY! I love coffee jelly and it so hard to find, but they do it so well. The menu is extensive, with a wide variety of flavors to choose from, so there is always something new to try. Definitely give their bubble waffles a try!

Overall, Aboutea is a gem of a bubble tea restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious and refreshing drink. The combination of great service, high-quality ingredients, and a welcoming atmosphere make it a must-visit spot for bubble tea lovers. I can't wait to go back and try more of their...
