THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO EAT BUT I WISH breakfast was served until 11:30 when people work and don't have much time to get there we miss out on breakfast and that's the main course of meal for the day for anyone. Other than that my experience has been really good along with my crew you have great waitresses working for you got are so respectful and wiling to go out of their way for my little sister that's in a wheelchair they make sure she feels comfortable where they see this and we let people know beforehand about her problem so they don't get upset a lot of guests are appreciative of letting them know so they just don't think it's just a kid out of control you have colored waitress working for you and I cannot pronounce her name but she is a sweetheart she well go above and beyond for anyone when she works her butt off if you wake or says we have seems like they're in a hurry to get us in and out which I quite like don't understand I used to be in the restaurant business I was once told your attitude is not appreciate it if it wasn't for all these people here paying for their food I would not be getting a work check after thinking about it I left my problems at home I don't want to work with the happy face always welcome in my guest we never know what one is going through and it was a habit of sir ma'am that was the way we were brought up lmpeople say I'm younger than that I just say sorry but that's the way I was brought up its respect and it's a clean place the restrooms are always clean along with the food countertops are always clean those fresh hot food but you got those workers in the bakery they don't smile they don't say hi you could speak to them in Spanish and not a word would be said to you so makes it uncomfortable going to the desert bar and I we usually send my brother because I also have a bad attitude myself and it will not look pretty and I will be probably going to jail or given a no trespassing to your restaurant which I would not want but at least they could do is knowledge you and say hi back we went last week after funeral and no one told us what time you guys close we have people from out of state when we seen that they were cleaning up we all grown up pounds of plates of food but not one plate of food went to waste our parents says what you serve is what you eat there are people out there that will fight you for that food and this world and other countries so we never waste food but please try to make breakfast at last until tell 11: 30 on the weeknd's you hear a lot of people saying We Wish breakfast was served until 11:30 but what can we do except put out and put in I'm just hope one day it will last until 11:30, keep up the good work Golden Corral employees you are all great no matter if your 7 walking to get a plate or doing something you're always greeted with the hello how's your day that's what makes Golden Corral a great place. Compared to Chuck-A-Rama they don't greet you they just say how many take your bunny and see yourself once you see yourself you're there for 10 to 20 minutes before you get away course at your table by that time we already have our drinks and our food then they come and say what can we get you to drink we're good on drinks can you not see that but the best spot people ask on Facebook a good place to eat breakfast lunch dinner brunch I always say Golden Corral where you're welcome with the smile I feel like the Golden Corral family from everyone working there but the night of the viewing I got off topic for a minute they did not tell us what time they close cuz we were out of state or did awake just come and say we're going to be closing in 5 or 10 minutes but what we did eat we ended up going to bed those to get more food cuz we're still hungry once you lose someone you're really not that hungry but the family from out-of-state was so we finished eating what we had and that I ended up going to BETO'S damn farm days they were closed I said I have 50 people here I was going to be worth your time and money that we spent here so they open the...
Read moreMy wife and I went to Golden Corral today for the first time in a few years. We have been going to Chuck-a-Rama a lot lately. We should have stuck with Chuck-a-Rama.
Our experience started out with the family in front of us. They were practically served with a cold shoulder. Our service was no different. We were not greeted with a smile, instead, we were greeted with "What do you want to drink?" We were given our drinks and pressed down the assembly line and given our total. Told to sign the receipt. And that was it. No enjoy your meal, nothing else.
My wife and I went to our table and decided we would like a car seat holder for our daughter. I asked a waitress for some assistance and she said they do not have a car seat holder, but booster chair. She brought me the booster chair and turned it over for me to set the car seat on. That was the last time we saw our waitress until we had a large pile of plates on our table and our drinks were empty. She brought us a refill and took our plates. There was no other mention of service to be had.
There was a one person who worked there, was not a waitress, but a cleaning lady. The cleaning lady came up and told us how precious our little girl was. Her smile, was the only smile I saw on any of the workers faces.
Food wise, the food was fairly decent. Unlike Chuck-a-Rama, we were charged separate for our drinks and had to stick with the drink we chose. The reason this got at least 2 stars, is because the steak was decent and the dessert was delightful.
Overall, I do not recommend Golden...
Read moreGolden Coral is one of my stand-by favorites. The whole family can get what we want and everything is usually clean. I'm giving this a low score today because of a recent visit. The service was not spectacular. Pheonix was our server, and she was mostly not present. Her attitude was borderline combative, and she forgot to bring the drinks she promised. My glass was empty for so long I started drinking my kids drink.
The icing on the cake, though was when we were leaving. I stopped in to the restroom and passed the table on the way out. Pheonix was standing at the table and talking to another customer (who clearly stated he was also a server and understood her frustration). There were plates piled on top of one another (she wasn't great at removing them during the meal), and the table was a mess. We had left a tip on the table which was still there when I walked by. Before she saw me, she said loudly "This is unacceptable", then looked up and saw me. She tried to tell me she was talking about another table, but the meaning was obvious. Even if she did mean the other table, her attitude was unacceptable.
Phoenix, if you read this review, realize where you work and what your job is. The better you do it, the better your tips will be. Sometimes you have bad customers, but they are still customers. Treat all your customers equally well (even if they don't deserve it) and you do well. Treat people like you treated my family and you may spend your life wondering how other servers make...
