7:30PM on Dec 10th 2023, during peak Christmas season. I wanted a baked potato and a chili. We sat in the drive through for over 10 minutes before finally pulling through to the first window. We sat there for another 5 minutes in sight and seen by two crew and a manager who completely ignored us. After so long I decided to call the store phone after double checking they should be open. (There were no signs anywhere saying anything about anything and they're supposed to be open until 1am.) It rang a long time and finally a woman answered with an attitude. I said "we've been outside for over 15 minutes trying to order," She then cut me off before I finished speaking and rudely said "Ma'am you have to be patient and understand that we are short staffed." I don't know what that had to do with being able to order or why she was so rude. At this same moment the window finally opened and the worker in the window was telling my husband, who was driving that we can't order because "she just got there." I'm confused as to why that meant we couldn't order anything at all. I relayed this to the lady on the phone and she then said "who said that? I didn't say that. I said you just have to wait until after shift change." I said okay thank you and hung up. I told the lady in the window that the lady on the phone said we could order. She was visibly mad and said "I hate it when she does this." Then she started yelling to the manager about it. (Manager must have been who answered the phone and she had a unique shirt.) During their exchange I counted at least 3 crew and one manager seen with my own eyes. I get things happen, and thats a little short, but we were the only ones there. I still don't understand why we can't order anything at all. So window lady comes back and asks what I wanted. My kids and I all wanted food but after all this I only wanted what I couldn't get elsewhere, a baked potatoe and a chili. First my husband says the chili and she says they can't do that. Then I said or a baked potatoe. She pretended to think and again said we can't do that. It was very, very clear she was saying they couldn't do it so we would just go away. This is likely what they will continue to do. There's a right and a wrong way to handle these situations. You can still be kind and professional even in a crisis. I was a manager at McDonald's and I get it. This is why I stayed polite and wasn't speaking rudely or showing any type of anger. This was handled very poorly and I still don't know why they ignored us, we're rude to us, and wouldn't let us order anything at all with a minimum of 4 people there and us being the only customer who only wanted two things. I was polite and offered to wait and they instead just lied and said they couldn't do that. I wish there was another close by where we live. I am going to look in to calling corporate. It probably won't do anything which is why I wanted to leave a review...
Read moreI contemplated for days as to whether to comment or not. First, kudos for having the lobby open. I drove an extra 2.8 miles out of my way to Boardman Wendy's because the Wendy's on Market Street is apparently so profitable that they have no need to open their lobby to potential customers. Boardman Wendy's is not a well oiled machine. I waited for what seemed like forever, maybe 5 minutes in actuality, but the gal behind the counter seemed to be in training. My order (take out) contained a Frosty. The Frosty was set on the counter first, all the while beginning to melt as the rest of my order was being made. I watched as the sandwich for my order was given to another customer. The customer took it to their table, realized it was not what they ordered and returned it to the counter. The employee took the sandwich, set it aside and then hoping that I didn't notice, picked it back up to put it in the bag with the rest of my order, all the while the Frosty is still melting. I asked the manager to replace the sandwich, which she graciously did. All the while the Frosty continues to melt. Returning home we found that my wife's chicken sandwich, ordered with tomato and mayo only, had lettuce and mayo only, no tomato, and she was able to drink the majority...
Read moreI wish I could give them 0 stars because the service was so bad! They have chick fil a as competition. The only reason we stopped was because chick fil a was closed. We will never be back.
We placed our order and I stressed that my picky child wanted a chicken sandwich with a bun with chicken, no mayo, no lettuce and no tomato. I pulled up to pay and the person had EarPods in and didn’t even acknowledge me at all. He grabbed my card, swiped it and gave it back. No, hello, thank you or have a nice day. I then pull up to the second window and waited for about a minute, which is okay because my son ordered breaded chicken sandwich. The man that handed it to me actually reached out and looked away from me! Another employee that didn’t acknowledge me. As I opened my bag to check the sandwich, the young lady at the window next to the man that handed me my chicken sandwich, said, “She ordered a completely plain sandwich!” She grabbed the sandwich from me, threw it out and grabbed another one. The same guy handed it to me and wouldn’t look at me.
That was awful service! I will never be back! Chick fil a sandwiches are better priced and overall taste better! Chick fil a also offers outstanding...
