Safety (or security) here is outrageous. Unlike a normal college dorm that's managed by student RA's and a couple housing managers, these dorms are managed by power hungry 40 year old men who wish they were police officers. They are constantly talking down to students and patrol the area like it's a prison. They have one of the most ridiculous guest policies I've ever heard of. If you don't drive to the center of campus and give them your driver's license even one time (you have to then drive on main roads without your license to get back to the dorms) they will lose their minds and threaten to kick you or who youre visiting out of school. Not to mention it's about a 5 minute drive to the center of campus and you have to wait at an office that is typically unmanned then wait for the glorified security guard to let you in, and sometimes they will sit in their truck staring at you for minutes while you wait. Genuinely some of the rudest college staff I have ever delt with. The school is great if you like racing, but you better have no respect for yourself if you're going to live...
Read moreThe ENTIRE staff of this University goes above and beyond for its students. They care about you and your education equally. Our Dean is the perfect mix of firm and caring, and extremely helpful. Professors are highly educated, ready to instruct in a fun manner, and they have GREAT professional connections for internships. You must be willing to make the effort, and you will be glad you did. My program, Sport Management, has two of the best people possible in charge of my program. They are able to teach and grow me into being highly successful my industry. Our guest speakers in class are funny, thoughtful, exciting and educational and never boring. We go to Super Bowls, MLB All-Star Games and more. I only regret not going sooner. Any program there is worthwhile, as we also are attached to such amazing companies as Crown and more on...
Read moreI loved it there! Originally went for an associates in legal assisting from fall 2012 through spring/summer of 2014. Went right to getting my bachelor's degree in specialized business studies with a concentration in marketing. All the professors are good (with a couple exceptions) but I would highly recommend taking any legal class with professor Stotts, any English class with Putnam, any marketing class with Dr. Mann, any management class with professor Welch and any business class with Dr. King. It's best to avoid Dr. Norton and the science/biology professor is kind of monotone and not flexible (you cannot disagree with him or have your own opinion). Another plus is meeting people from other countries and finding out about their culture. I would recommend this for anybody who wants a...
