I think I saw a celebrity here, but the kind you know you haven't seen in anything for a decade and just can't quite put your finger on their name. That's the kind of place this is. 'Nice' enough for an aging red dwarf (C lister, fool) but washed out enough for them too.
Service was okay. Nothing to report.
I ordered Dennis' Country Special. What a foul monstrosity. I don't know what kind of degenerates they have out in the country in these parts, but thick slightly sweet whitish gravy that's slightly separating after being reheated with small chunks of dried out sausage in it draped over, no, drowning 2 biscuits that a self respecting restaurant would give out for free before the meal, that, that's not breakfast. Fortunately I am myself quite degenerate so I mopped up that tepid thigh thickener with enthusiasm.
It's honestly as though they forgot Dennis and his special were even on the menu. When you order it, the waitress offers you hashbrowns, country potatoes, or fruit, with your pile of gravy and bread. I don't know about you but after slurping down all that sauce, I really don't need a ball of potatoes to add to the mix. I made the responsible choice and chose fruit, but let's be honest, this is an incomplete meal, a small fruit cup beside this beast is laughable. But there were no well thought out accompaniments for my beast. And the other special was a half portion of Dennis', but with 1 egg, for the same price, $16, ha! An egg for $8? I think not sir, you've not fooled me. Fruit cup it is. Truth be told I was so disgusted with myself by the end of spooning in the gravy that I almost forgot the cup was there. But it was a refreshing break after the ordeal.
All in all, I got what I came for. I'm going to go take a nap now.
Thanks for hosting me on this delightful morning...

The service is great, and the people that work there are always happy! The owner Jennie is such a love and will personally come to your table and treat you as if you are her best friend! I was recently there for my birthday, we did not ask for any special treatment, but Jennie saw my birthday card on the table and offered us some fresh peach pie with ice cream and whipped cream! That was so thoughtful and the best piece of peach pie I have ever had!! Every meal I have had there has been perfection. The service is great, and the people that work there are always happy! Read moreEdit: Sorry I was drunk when I wrote this, the omelette wasn't that bad but the biscuits and gravy put me over the edge I could barely make it to the toilet on time on the drive home I thought I was going to fill my car seat with elimination.
I swear I saw the guy who played Screech on Saved by the Bell at this place, but I didn't want to embarrass myself by asking for a selfie. That's the kind of vibe this restaurant gives off. It's just famous enough to draw in the has-beens, but not famous enough to actually be good. The service was fine, nothing to write home about. I ordered the omelette and let me tell you, it was a disaster. The eggs were overcooked and rubbery, the cheese was barely melted, and the ham was dry and flavorless. It was like they were trying to make a bad omelet on purpose. I should have known better when I saw the menu was covered in grease stains. But hey, at least I can say I ate at a restaurant where Screech might have sat once. I give this place two...
