Decided to have dinner here last night, as we had been previously been and had a waitress Crystal B serve us and she was great and due to that experience we have returned several times. During our dinner last night we ended up with her as our server for the 2nd time we were happy about that as we think she is great. We ordered the pretzel sticks as an appetizer and it comes with 2 dipping sauces beer cheese and honey mustard we asked to substitute the honey mustard for something else Crystal B suggested the alfredo sauce and we agreed. Crystal was asked by another staff member to come make drinks and she returned to behind the bar and started making what seemed to be 7-10 drinks in a row with no one helping her. That being said another waitress brought out the appetizer and on the plate was honey mustard and no alfredo sauce, so we simply asked for the alfredo sauce from the girl delivering our food. The girl leaves and appears to be going to get it, a few moments later another girl comes to our table and asks what is the problem and we said no problem really we just asked for alfredo sauce in lieu of honey mustard her name was Courtney and apparently she is the manager. Courtney then stated we can't do that and if we want it that there would be an extra charge, so we were like ok that is fine we wanted it her tone and body language was that of we were inconveniencing her by this request and then she stated well I am not your server and I didn't put in your request at this point this Courtney girl and came at us at like an aggressive 10 and we are very irritated with her she leaves and heads to a few feet away the a kiosk at the end of the bar and started belittling Crystal B telling her she did not put our order in correctly and that we are very upset with Crystal B! Crystal B then calmly tells her she did put the request in and Courtney pull up the info and sees that it is in there and so Crystal stated to Courtney please let me know if I did it incorrectly and apologizes. Courtney just walks away into the kitchen and about 8-10 minutes later returns to our table and drops off the alfredo sauce and walks away no saying a word.
All that being said we are not nor were we ever upset with Crystal B so to go back and say that to here loudly as if to belittle her in ear shot of the entire staff and customers was very unprofessional and uncalled for, we were upset with you Courtney and your aggressive tone, words, and body language.
We returned to this restaurant because of the exceptional customer service of Crystal B and may not return due to your behavior!
Next time Courtney just get the customers what they are requesting and if you need to have a coaching moment with one of your team members do it in private. Hopefully you really use our feedback to grow yourself in the field you have chosen, otherwise I fear that you will lose some really great team members in the near future. Read moreI attempted to eat there last night. Was greeted from across the restaurant in the bar area, by I assume was the Manager on duty. She was wiping down a large table. She said I'll be with you in a minute, and wiped off table. ... she sprayed the table again and wiped it again...instead of putting down bottle and taking care of me, then return to the table to finish. Then she walked over to the bar and put the bottle away. A waitress was at the computer inputting something or attempting to. She then walked over and helped her..instead of me...then she started to come my way.... but instead stopped and talked to another waitress about something. I had enough of being ignored. I turned around and left. I have worked in restaurants and retail my whole Adult life and know you don't have a business unless you have customers. I love the food I always get so that is the reason I go eat there. About 11 years ago in a different Applebees my ex and I were seated, we sat there a good 10 minutes, totally ignored. Other people who came in after us were taken care of, got their drinks etc. Still no help. Finally found out we were seated in an area that did not have a waiter, .....Still no one even acknowledged us . It was our Anniversary..we left without eating, but I told the manager 1st. We had to opt for a different place to eat..like I did last night. This is the 3rd time I have had seating issues with Applebees. I took my Son and Granddaughters out to eat at this restaurant a couple of years ago for an early dinner. We were just a 4 top. The restaurant was almost empty. There was a group sitting on the bench waiting for a large table. But the rest of their group was not there. So instead of seating us and a few more small groups of people that showed up after we did, they said they could not seat anyone till that large group got all there. We said the tables are empty all over, we could at least sit and look at menus in the meantime.The Manager said no. That totally did not make a lick of sense. I posted a complaint at that time too. That Manager was gone after that. Maybe others complained too. I am not one to rile, easy but when I know customer service is so valuable to a business I have to help get it fixed, even if I am one voice. Please spend time with your Management teams on how important the customers are. I trained associates for 12 years with 7 gift shops at the Airport. It is a priority to a business. I am giving the Restaurant one more chance...I know I will be hesitant. Burns leave scars...But I enjoy...
Read moreI am from the service industry and as a general manager I have learned a tremendous amount of respect for those of us in it. My wife had a longer than usual day and we were going to eat fast food but I suggested Applebees due to the later hours(it's only 9:30 and my wife is pregnant) and we have plenty of time to not be too late. We waited for a longer than normal amount of time to be greeted but the lady was very nice. We sat and watched our waiter walk past us several times without a greet that we thought someone else was serving us. He asked us for our order but we just needed drinks and appetizer 1st. He brought our cheese sticks and drinks together which was odd. The cheese sticks are a large order so I asked for more marinara sauce before I needed it. The sauce and refills never came. He ordered the wrong entree for me and tried to fix it and then blamed the kitchen. I could not handle his complete disregard for your standards. I know that you have much higher expectations of your staff. I did not get what I ordered and the entire experience was lacking minimal service. The manager was nice and only made excuses.I could tell by the atmosphere and ambiance that she was very apathetic about the business. Poor greet times, wrong orders, bad service, TV's bouncing around with direct tv, no drink refills...no accountability. I did not want a discount or free food. I just wanted a nice dinner with my wife. I will return to other locations but I am sorry I came to this location and you obviously don't want me back. It was the laugh and humorous joking amongst staff when we left that made the inspiration to help you with your staff at this location.
