I don't usually post about company's but this upset me so much I had to vent! So I purchased a Asus all in one desktop on 4/16 along with many other things for at the time my fiancee and I had just moved into a new house. So fast forward a few years and I still had my Asus computer in the box I never even used it. Unfortunately shortly after purchasing my fiancee and I separated. So I eventually set up a home office and started using my Asus computer on 4/18 it worked great for about a week and then one day it just never turned back on. I called Best Buy to see about the warranty coverage and one of the guys from Geek squad said that yes I had an extended warranty but I'd need to bring it up fast because it was about to expire. So after taking it up to Best Buy the next day I was told that the person I talked to was mistaken and that I had the extended warranty but I had cancelled it. Which was total BS! They had done this to me once before on a laptop I had purchased but I had my extended warranty paperwork so they couldn't deny it. Unfortunately I had moved and I didn't have my paperwork. So I told them to just go ahead with any repairs and I'd just pay for it out of pocket. About 3 weeks later I was called and they told me it would be $190 to fix it and I told them to go ahead. Then it was like 2 months past and I get a call saying its ready. I'm a very busy person running a business & being a single father of 3. So I wasn't able to get right over there. So I called about a month ago telling Best Buy that I've been busy but I'll try to make it over one evening soon & the guy I talked to was like its fine but I may want to call first to set an appointment. I just went ahead and dropped in about 2weeks after having that conversation. First they told me they couldn't find it under my name. So then I told them to check under my fiancee # at that time they told me it had been Recycled & that my ex fiance gave them permission to. I doubt she would do that but never the less I specifically told them I was the contact and not her. It was a customer pay and she was only on the account because we used her phone# at the time we purchased it.So they got there Mgr. Josh & he told me that after 100 days they Recycle. I told him that it wasn't even ready to be picked up until almost 90 days and that I'd just talked to someone a couple of weeks prior. He didn't act liked he cared. I figured it up and between 2016-2018 personal and business I've spent over $18,000 with Best Buy but I can say I wont spend another red cent!! I'm also writing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. For anyone that's already bought a product or service from Best Buy make sure you get any extended warranty service print out before having a problem because they'll have selective Amnesia if you go to ever...
Read moreI have purchased a great many things from Best Buy over the years and have been a loyal rewards member. This will be the last cent that Best Buy ever gets from me. I bought this LG - 49" Class - LED - SK8000 Series at the Best Buy on SW 3rd Street in OKC. I actually loved the TV and would have likely given it 5 stars. After watching it for 3 weeks it died. It wouldn't even boot up. I attempted to exchange it for one that works at the store and they told me it was 6 days past their 15-day return policy. I asked for a manager and asked him to make an exception. He refused to consider it and told me to take it up with Samsung.
It is now a month and a half later. I have had two service calls from Samsung. Each time I have to take off a half day from work and wait in the "window" of repair time. Each time they have diagnosed the issue incorrectly. There is always about 2 weeks between repair calls. Today they came out and replaced nearly the entire TV and guess what, they still misdiagnosed it. Now they say it's the motherboard. So now I wait on a third call probably two weeks from now.
So a month and a half after the TV went out and we have now had this TV sitting in the corner not working twice the length of time we had it working. I have had to take two half days off work with another 1/2 day absence coming when they decide to come out again. In the meantime I'm watching TV on my iPad in that room.
After the second failed service call I asked Samsung to replace the TV and they refused. I called back to the manager at Best Buy and recounted this entire ordeal and his response was "you should have bought the extended warranty". I said "really, 6 days past your return policy of 15 days and after not having a TV for 6 weeks while we've made two payments on a non-working TV and that's your response"?
That's all I needed to know about this business and their management. When strict intolerant adherence to a "policy" is more important than taking care of a long time customer who is having a horrific experience that began 21 days after buying a $799 TV, then I know this company does not have the customer service skills or attitude worthy of any further business from me......or from anyone else in my opinion! There are too many other choices who will exhibit concern for the...
Read moreMy Fiance and I just bought a home and decided to purchase TVs, Fridge, washer, dryer, security system, and sound system. We wanted to purchase through Best Buy because they had good prices and offered the total tech member perks. We went to this Best Buy location several times and was told by TWO managers that everything was good to go and there should be no issues when it is time for all our scheduled times for geek squad to come to our house to install our purchases as noted above. My fiance and I purchased these items over a month ahead of time so there should have been no issues and they told us there was not going to be... Best Buy was scheduled to come to our house the day after we moved in. They called in the morning and said they have to reschedule because they dont have our items. We said fine, and rescheduled. They called again when they were rescheduled to come and said they dont have our dryer but they are brining our fridge and washer. They said they dont know where our fridge was. The geek quad employee said he was going to go back to the store to find out where its at and let us know. We never heard anything back. I had to contact customer service and they were no help at all. They created a ticket and said someone will contact us within 48 hours to tell us more. Never heard anything again. We went up to the store and they said someone would contact us by end of day. never heard anything again. we had to drive up to the store AGAIN to talk to customer service and they had to create another request for our dryer because they dont know what happened to it. We are STILL without a dryer and cannot do laundry. We also scheduled total tech to mount three TVs for us. They get to our house and say that they only see one TV that needs to be mounted. We said no we need three. They mounted one TV and left. I asked for a refund on our other items because I dont want to do business with Best Buy any more. This is the last time we will ever do business with Best Buy and waisted our money on total tech that we will never use again. Best Buy completely made this exciting move a...
