Ichiban Sushi Bar & Poke — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

Ichiban Sushi Bar & Poke is one of my partner and I’s most favorite spots to eat at! They always provide such quick and reliable service! We always enjoy getting the Ichiban Poke bowls, and can eat it gluten-free without any worries!

At the time of writing this review, I cannot remember which all of the gluten-free options besides what I get regularly. I know the Spicy Mayo is gluten-free. Other than that, anything not fried (Shrimp Tempura and Chicken Katsu are some of the fried options) should mostly be gluten-free. However regardless of if you are sure or not on which options are safe, please ask your server first!

I always get the regular Ichiban Poke bowl with Sushi Rice, Seaweed, Green Onion, Seared Ahi Tuna, Steamed Shrimp, Spicy Mayo, Furikake, Sesame Seeds, Spicy Crab Meat, and Tamagoyaki. The portions are always so filling and each ingredient feels like it is given in a reasonably generous amount! It is always so tasty too!

I also tried the Thai Tea and it is pretty good here! It is not the best one I ever had, but it is still delicious and compliments the food well.

There were some things my partner got before knowing they were celiac that was not gluten-free, but that more so pertained to the Ichiban Poke Sauce. Besides that, they get something similar to me except in the large size and with Ahi Tuna and Salmon along with some other toppings. However, what they get now is still just as good. It just took some minor adjustments in ordering.

The staff always feel friendly and welcoming, and we are always happy to return to eat here. The options we get are reliable and safe, so we have no worries enjoying our favorites!

Ichiban Sushi Bar & Poke is always a restaurant worth coming back to. We eat here when just wanting good food, but it has also been a place that cheered us up during rougher times. There was one time we tried to eat gluten-free elsewhere and it went horribly (incredibly unsafe and not filling), but going to Ichiban after made us quickly forget what happened with their delicious food and wonderful service.

Although the stamp card for a free Regular Ichiban Poke Bowl (after buying six Ichiban Poke Bowls) is a great incentive to keep returning, there is so much more to this place that we love. It is always worth supporting this business and it feels like money is never wasted here! We love Ichiban...

If you are the type of person to read reviews before deciding which restaurant to try it out, put your phone down and head to Ichiban! The SEARCH IS OVER! This place is amazing, it's delicious, everything about it is amazing! The food and flavors dance in your mouth in a harmonic jubilee! I don't even know what that means but it just felt right to say! The food regardless of what you get is great, if you like Sushi, they have rolls, bowls and yummy options that could please even the pickiest.. Whatever your heart desires they can create. If you want half lo mein and half Sushi rice in a bowl with chicken and teriyaki sauce.. they can do it, if you dream of a red snapper sushi salad, they can make your dreams a reality! If you want sushi rice, jalapeno, seared ahi tuna with spicy mayo and red pepper oil...... guess what? They can do it! They can mix and match any flavor combinations you want in a roll or a bowl! They also have regular dishes of cooked goodies your children will eat, beef tataki, grilled chicken, soup, fried rice... it's all magic. I didn't even have to lie to my kids to get them to eat here, the food speaks for itself! There is no place in the metro like this..... Ichiban offers variety, fresh raw and cooked meats, traditional and non traditional sushi sides and varies toppings and sauces to meld all the flavors into a poke bowl of a lifetime.❤️ I want you to know I am writing this review with love because the food has me acting clingy, needy, and especially vulnerable... My guts crave a bite of those poke bowls like a girlfriend that knows she's out of her league! Why are you still reading this, go now! Eat and be happy, if this food can't bring your cold dark soul out of a stupor and into a delightfully enjoyable reality, you must be allergic to amazing food! And let me tell you, they deliver on all fronts! During our recent visit, I decided to dive into their poke bowl creation, and I was absolutely thrilled with the possibilities. The option to customize your base with half romaine and half sushi rice was a brilliant touch, allowing for the perfect balance of fresh greens and satisfying grains. Then came the fun part – the toppings! The selection was extensive and incredibly fresh. My bowl was a delightful medley of creamy avocado, zesty ginger, flavorful spicy crabmeat, crisp cucumber, briny masago, sweet mini scallops, and delicate red snapper. Each ingredient tasted vibrant and high-quality, making every bite a burst of flavor and texture. My husband, a sushi roll aficionado, opted for the energy roll and the OKC roll. He declared both to be exceptionally savory and utterly delicious. We wholeheartedly recommend trying either of these if you're looking for expertly prepared and flavorful sushi rolls.
