We were very excited to try this place out, so I made a reservation for a friend’s birthday. Unfortunately, our experience was not the best and we did not even get to try the food. As soon as we arrived the hostess told us that there was going to be a “little” wait which was fine, but after half an hour I decided to check with her again, and asked if it was normal to wait so long even if you have a reservation to what she responded that it usually takes people three hours to eat. I said “well you do not mention this when you make a reservation” and she responded “well I am no the one taking three hours to eat” which I think was extremely rude and unprofessional. If I make a reservation my expectation is to have a table ready when I arrived at the expected time or I understand if I have to wait 5 or 10 minutes. Her attitude as just terrible and she said she could get a manager but that the manager was going to tell us the same thing. We left and decided to check other places nearby, we ended up eating at other restaurant where the service was incredible from beginning to end, and by the time we were done with the appetizer there, I received the notification that our table was ready at Riserva, so we would have waited for like 50 minutes to get our “reserved” table which I think it is unreasonable. After a while I received another text saying that I was removed from the “waitlist” so I wonder if I had a reservation to begin with. Overall, just very poor experience, if this restaurant is incapable of respecting their customer’s time they should not have reservations available or at least do not lie about then and then expect us to be happy to wait an hour...
Read moreWe have returned numerous times for both the food and service however based off today I would not return especially if it was our first experience. My husband and I stopped in for a “quick” lunch while running errands, or so we thought. We sat at the bar and there was less than 10 people total in the restaurant and we were the only people sitting at the bar, we both ordered a drink and 1 appetizer. After that the bar tender disappeared for very lengthy periods of time, when she did return she avoided our side of the bar and didn’t ask about any additional drinks or needs. She finally returned to check on us so we were able to place. Again a very lengthy period of time passed where she was nowhere in site, the manager walked out our food and tended to our drinks but still no sight of the bar tender. After we were done eating I had to go find another wait staff to get a to go box, place a dessert order, and request our check; I would have liked to have had an additional drink but at this point I was just ready to leave. During this I discovered the bar tender sitting at a table full of people visiting while we were left unattended at the bar. Super frustrating going to a restaurant and spending $100 on food but having the worst service ever. The staff should respect each and every chair filled. Also management should not allow a bar top to be unattended while the bar tender sits at another occupied table and he sits at the front on his laptop.
P.S. Dessert came out in a to go box which we did not request. So after sitting there for well over 1.5 hours we didn’t even get to eat our...
Read moreMy friend made a reservation on Monday to celebrate my birthday, when we arrived the hostess told us to wait for a table and to be called. We wait 15 minutes that turned to 45 minutes (we wait that long bc we were so excited to try this place) so we asked her again what happened with our reservation and she told us to wait for a table (even though we had a prior reservation), so we asked “do you usually wait even with a reservation?”. And she said “yes, people usually take three hours to eat” So we told her that this was never mentioned while making the reservation and she was like “Yes, that's the waiting time, I'm not the person who eats for 3 hrs”. She was SO rude. We didn't insist or argue with her. So we just walked out. 1st of all reserving a table is not the same to be on the waitlist. Please Riserva Bar if you take “reservations” respect people's time or just say “We don't take reservations” as simple as that. 2nd Why do you have such a rude person “welcome in” to your restaurant? It was a horrible experience on Riserva Bar. Guys if you are planning to visit this place I hope you the best of luck if they are rude to you as she was with us. I highly recommend walking to Birra (a place crossing the lake). That's a very nice, delicious place with...
