The manager Aiden needs either MAJOR training on professionalism and management or get fired! Let me tell you about my experience about braums.
I tried braums for the first time in my life when I moved to Oklahoma.. I had withdrawls on their sauce and NEEEDED IT all day lol (just kidding but it was so good)
All the braums I have gone to are so nice and welcoming and just overall just enjoyable to go to except one other one I went to before but I didn't know where that one was.
Well I went in to get the pints of icecream.. their icecream is really good.
On my way in, I saw a man who I knew had some type of schizophrenia.. my son has schizophrenia so i have a soft spot for them.. he was really polite to me.. then I saw he had a hospital bracelet on...
I asked him how he was doing and he said he was hungry and so I offered him to grab something to eat. So we went in.. I went to the counter and let him choose what to eat and he choose to get some chicken strips and I bought him the meal..
Then Aiden, (later I found out he was the onshift manager) yelled at the guy where EVERYONE could hear and told him he needed to leave . The man was just standing next to me and waiting for his food. I told the manager that he is getting his meal and eating.. then the manager proceeded to yell across where EVERYONE could hear again.. the whole store was quiet because how awkward aiden made it . Then I told Aiden I bought the meal and he was with me and if he is kicking me out then I can just get my money back and go elsewhere...
Now I would have given 0 stars if I could . But you can see I gave 2 stars. Let me tell you why.
One of the workers, Maurice, was really great. He saw the escalation and quickly took action. He acknowledged my concern, quickly apologized, and told me to don't worry about it and just enjoy the meal. Even told me thank you. Maurice is a prime example of what customer service should be like. If this was a review on Maurice it would be a five star. Great job today Maurice.
Now I do understand how sometimes people do have to be removed from the store because they're interrupting patrons or whatever is going on.. but as a manager you should approach the person quietly to not embarrass them. And politely ask them to leave. That would have been a way that a manager should have handled the situation
Anyway I sat down with the man he ate half of his food I could tell he was in an episode a little bit. But he was not violent and he was not rude. He was very concerned that he put his application in and they were acting like that so he was worried about them having access to his stuff. I reassured him and help them through it to where he didn't worry too much.. he ate half of his food and then left, without a problem
Remember how I said that there was one other store that we had issues with well let me tell you something real funny
I was so mad that I did not even get what I had walked in for.. I didn't get the ice cream the only thing that I went to that store for because Aiden ruined my experience and I did not want to spend any more money at the store.
When I left, I called my boyfriend and I told him about this experience and he said let me guess.. and guess what? He guessed this store! This is the store that we had problems with before about people being rude and having lack of customer service skills.. this is the only braums that I've ever had issues with.
This store is in serious need of Management and customer service training..
However, I know I only mentioned maurice but he was the only one that actually stuck out the most the only person that ruined my experience tonight at braum's was the manager Aiden.
I'm glad that I met that customer and I got him some food and got to spend time getting to know him, he's a very nice gentleman. But I totally regret going to this Braums.
Management needs help!
So Aiden had the courtesy of calling me today no apology when I asked him why he called me he said "that's what I'm supposed to do"
Real management can call me not him he...
Read moreVisiting OKC for the first time and was told this was a place to try. I went through the drive thru. The young man on the speaker was impossible to understand. I ordered a meal and tried to order an ice cream cone. When I said the flavor I wanted (looked at online menu while I waited in line), he said they didn't have it. That's okay. I gave a different choice. Don't have that either. So, he starts to tell me the flavors they do have. I can't understand him at all. A girl gets on and I could understand her, so I don't think it was an issue with the speaker. I ordered a 2 scoop cone. 1st scoop was a flavor I found on menu that they did have and since I couldn't understand the man (he got back on to take order), I asked what his favorite was and said I would have that as my second scoop. Ordered fry sauce and that completed the order. At the window my burger and fries were ready to go when I pulled up. They asked me to pull forward to wait for my ice cream cone. I pulled forward. Sat there for a while and decided to start my burger since it was taking so long. Nothing to drink and no fry sauce. I finished my entire burger before someone came out. It was the young man. He brought me out some big Sundae? I asked what it was because I had just ordered a two scoop ice cream cone. He said, "Why don't you just take this because it's what you paid for?" I said, "But it's not what I ordered or wanted." But he still insisted that I had paid extra for it because it was much bigger and fancier than an ice cream cone. I didn't want all the stuff that was on it though. I enjoy a simple ice cream cone. So he went back in and brought me back out an ice cream cone. I still didn't receive my sauce though and asked if I could have the sauce. By this time my fries were cold and eating cold plain fries isn't very good. I got the sauce. And, unfortunately... the ice cream cone I received only had two scoops of his favorite ice cream. I didn't like it. I didn't get the scoop of the ice cream that I requested at all. The one redeeming thing was that cheeseburger. That cheeseburger was wonderful. Exactly what you expect a good cheeseburger to be. I'm actually going to go back again to try and get the ice cream that I wanted because I think it's going to be good. I would suggest to the owner/manager to drive through yourself and listen to the employees talk, to make sure that they can properly communicate. The line was held up so severely... and I think it was just because he was so hard to understand. He was very sweet and kind. Definitely a good employee. Just not suitable for a communicating position. I overpaid. Didn't get what I ordered and had to wait extra long to still not even get the right order. All could have been avoided. Will update...
Read moreVery Horrible Experience at location. Waited at Drive Thru for someone to take order or even acknowledge that a car had pulled up. Long enough for about 4 more cars to pull up behind me. Still Nothing.. So I pulled up to the window, and was told immediately that I was not able to order at the window. Tried to explain that I had been there but just hadn't received any acknowledgement, so I wasn't sure if it was working. Lady with Red hair at window said she still couldn't take my order at window due to "POLICY" and that I should of waited at order board for service. I apologized I saw they were busy I wasn't trying to cause a situation but they were not even concidering to let me order or just try and understand. I had been patiently waiting for anyone to acknowledge that a car was at the drive through and nothing... Now I'm being disregarded and just told it's policy, I calmly ask to speak to a manager, she tells me she's a manager, then later says I'll get my other manager but he's busy. So I waited.. and I get they are busy but this is a fast food restaurant chain, yes your busy, yes your under staff, but if that is the case then least bend a little to your costumer service when a guest has been waiting and just pulls up to the window. Now you just tell them they need to leave... So the manager( heavy set, short shaved hair) comes pretty much saying the same thing, it's a policy, nothing they can do, can't take the order... no sympathy no empathy nothing, we are busy.. then proceeds to slam the window shut and ask if they need to have someone come and remove me out of line... I'm blown away by just the lack of common courtesy and understanding of a simple situation due to you being busy and under staffed. When frankly I understood you were busy, or understaffed I wasn't upset at all that I was waiting for awhile I just wanted to make an order... and get some dinner. Deff need some management training for guest interaction and just better costumer appreciation...
