Chili's is a very loved, and frequented franchise. Whenever we pass by any Chili's throughout Oklahoma City, it tends to be packed with people. We decided to try out this Chili's location on a Saturday for lunch. The facility was not very busy, and there were plenty of tables and staff available to seat our party of two, but it still took 15 minutes to seat us. As they sat us down, we passed by several tables with old food and platters still waiting to be bused; in their defense, it didn't look like the staff members hanging around were waiters on our side of the restaurant, but they still could have helped out, me thinks. Anyways, we were seated down at the "cleanest" table - which was sticky, and gross; we did a better job cleaning it with a watered down napkin (which we did use).
As for the menu selection, there's a variety of things to choose from amongst the American Cuisine establishment. We decided to their Unlimited Enchiladas deal and their Fajitas; the enchiladas tasted like they were all microwaved and drizzled with the same sauce in each "different" enchiladas and the fajita meat tasted bland, dry, and cold amongst a plate where 60% of it was vegetables that seemed to have just been thrown on instead of cooked (the picture looks like there is a decent amount of meat, but that was not the case). I ended up sending the fajitas back and requested a burger. The burger itself was not terrible, but another restaurant could have done better with the price of it. Needing to eat something, we ordered a side order of salad and that was at least okay. To ensure we are not missing anything out in this review, I was fortunately (or unfortunately) craving some ice cream and we decided to try the Triple Berry Crumble Cake...yeah, it was more of a sponge cake with melted ice cream and berry syrup. It was not good. (Though the picture next to what is shown to diners is hilarious in our opinion!)
I would have given this review a rating of "1" for the lowest, but our server was actually very accommodating and nice. He had a tough job juggling and handling a lot of our complaints (there were 2 other tables complaining about...
Read moreI had been going here for some time and looks like some of the staff may have changed a bit and thats cool, seasons change, however the good service I was use to changed also. It could have been this servers off night, maybe off for just our table because he seemed pretty on top of it for the customers that were seated after my group, but I dont know. First he tried to cram 13 people at a table that seats maybe 9, but we pulled all the tables and chairs out to make it work ourselves because thats what we do. We ordered drinks and the table that sat down after us got thier drinks first. We didnt make a big deal because we try to not have conflict. We just want to come out as a family on a birthday and enjoy. Then we did get our drinks and food and he didnt remember where the food went so we were all trying to get the food were it went, but no problem, there were alot of us, ok we understand. Then we ask for sauces, we never got, we got wrong food we never ordered and was charged for it. We had to beg mulitiple times for refills, but the other table was served and happy. He didnt come check on his unless we flagged him down, or we grabbed another server for help. I dont even remeber his name because i didnt seem him long enough to know. We spent a little over $300 yes we still tipped good because thats the kind of people we are. The atmosphere didnt seem inviting or comfortable at all. No real greeting at the door. We love chilis, so when my son say to me where he wants to go for his birthday for dinner is Chilis, you better believe we go back to Chilis everytime. We will be back in there today and I so hope its much better. My mother wants to go to another location. I said we can get bad service and good service from any of the locations. I like this location, so I am torn. There just probably needs to be some addtl customer service training. Lets just see what happens. Thank you for...
Read moreToo many waiters and waitress's congregated at the bar checkin thier phones. Or in the back talking about thier plans for the night. The food is mediocrely microwaved and comes out semi warm. The mashed potatoes had a lump of dried spuds in it that wouldnt mix. The Jack Daniels whatever was burnt and made our entire table stink. The waiter was rude when he explained that the endless apps bs was only for one person and since I had tried one of thier items we would have to pay for another for me. Took forever to get refils because his phone was more important than servicing the tables he was waiting on. Completely bunk and not worth the overpriced price of the food and expensive watered down drinks. Imagine ordering a white russian and u get a 4 oz drink and 12 dollar bill for that one drink. Your food is inedible due to it being luke warm and tastes like the burnt entree thats stinking up ur table. Then imagine the waiter disappearing for 25 mins before coming back to inform you that youre being charged for an extra endless app entree bcuz u had a bite of someones cheese fries. Then imagine asking the waiter for refils as he walks away to charge you for another entree and the waiter spins, pops his gum, walks to the kitchen comes back w another bill and wrong drinks for our entire table. We couldnt get our check fast enough so we could leave. The waiter made some snide remark to the hostess cashing us out that we didnt leave a tip. Dang right we didnt leave a tip. Waiter better be glad we didnt leave him a piece of...
