This was from the Edmond location. The gluten-free vegan cupcakes were really good. Got a variety to try since it was my first time in. They were all moist with good spring to the crumb had a texture similar to the normal thing. The frostings had flavors you would expect, mostly. However, I have zero confidence in being able to serve these to anyone with food intolerances and forget anyone with allergies. The kitchen was open and very clean, so while cross contamination could happen I didn't see anything that sparked my concern from a preparation cleanliness side. But it could happen as they do use AP wheat flour so true Coeliacs need to be ware. My biggest frustration is other then general broad labels for vegan and gluten free nothing is clearly labeled, not with what it is (ding dong or cinnamon roll/snickerdoodle?) or with the ingredients. One cupcake had an amareto flavor I wasn't expecting, and another I thought would have hints of ginger had none. And the rest of the selections were handled with an arm wave as being ok. I try to trust my servers, but when the regular versions look exactly the same, I get worried. Espically, when the cases are similarly as full. I took the risk for a treat (and I have intolerances more than allergies), but there is no way I could recommend this lack of clarity to someone managing their health with food avoidance. I don't know if they used a flax egg or aquafaba, or a starch fake egg. IDK if potato or corn are used in the mix, or if it is coconut and cassava. Probing for more information was not very helpful when I called the OKC store or asked at this store. Gluten-free friendly and vegan are a nice niche for people on volountary diets, but the current lack of detailed labeling makes this bakery a real dice game for anyone with genuine health issues stemming from food intolerances/allergies. Until they share their formulas, more specifically and openly, and train their staff to answer questions more readily without playing 20 questions, anyone with allergies and intolerances should stear clear. I am really sad writing this review because I really want to see more gluten-free and vegan options that taste this good. The product was really spectacular, and they deserve their rave reviews and awards! But right now, this labeling/training problem makes this bakery fit into a fad niche and not a solution to enjoying treats with health affecting intolerances.

Run, don’t walk, to this bakery! They have lots of sweet treats from cookies to cupcakes that are your traditional classics, gluten-free, vegan, and vegan/gluten-free. I was pleasantly surprised when the lady behind the counter pointed out several other goodies that were vegan. It was a tough choice, but I ended up getting a lemon blueberry pastry to share with my husband. We also ordered black coffee. The pastry was so delicious and sort of had a crumble cake feeling to it. It was moist and not overwhelmingly sweet. The pastry reminded us of our wedding cake that had a lemon blueberry layer so it was nostalgic. Plus the coffee paired well with it. Overall, the place was decorated for the holidays and it was a nice escape from all the shopping. Service is great and the ladies working were so friendly. Definitely try it out!

This used to be the best place to get a gluten free baked good but a few years ago they brought someone new in as part owner and it has gone downhill ever since. The recipes went from being flavorful and delicious to overly sweet and dry. The amount of frosting has dwindled significantly, not even filling the whole top of the cupcake. And the frosting is so sweet you get a blood sugar spike just from sniffing it! The cupcake itself is crumbly. They used to stick together just fine which was hard to find a gluten free cupcake to do that. And the frosting used to be wonderful, not just the taste of sugar like it is now. I’ve also witnessed an employee at the Edmond location pick up cookies with her bare hands. This place just isn’t up to the same standard it was at when just the Green’s owned it.

A friend surprised me with several vegan cupcakes from this bakery and I was really excited, hoped they had improved, since they won that TV show between the last time I was there and now. I took a bite and another one, and had no idea what flavor I was eating. I am a baker and a vegan, so I have a fairly good palate, nothing impeding my ability to discern flavor, so not knowing what I was eating was strange. I came to the web site and spent a lot of time looking, trying to figure out what they were and I still cannot tell you what I just consumed.

Actually one did have a lemony frosting, but it did not match anything on the web site. One sparkled and was crunchy.

This was my second experience with Green Goodies, I went with another friend back before they moved to Classen Curve. Our cakes were inedible that day, but because as I mentioned, I am a baker, I know we can have off days and thought perhaps the upcoming move was causing then to maybe not do their best. The "service" that day was hideous, the girl who "waited on us" made us feel we were interrupting her very important phone call (with that many giggles, I am pretty sure it was not a tragic emergency).

So, a mystery cupcake with sparkles that crunch, something lemony and I will probably not try the others. I really wanted to like this place, we need vegan options here in OKC and after Matthew Kenny just up and left a few years ago, we haven't had much. I will keep doing my own baking - the cakes I did eat were under- cooked (maybe that was why the flavor was hard to discern) and drenched with oil, and vegan food should be better than that. I don't want people to think they have to settle for cruddy tasting food if they decide to consume a plant-based diet. The frosting was overwhelmingly sweet, the cupcakes too oily, and the lack of flavor made these...

I've been here twice for cupcakes and once for lunch. Cupcakes are good. Chocolate chip cookie was amazing (even if it was more than $2). I would consider this place a luxury, not a viable option for daily or weekly lunches away from the office. I'd like to acknowledge that their location probably allows them to charge a little more than other "lunch" places, since people in that area are in a little higher income bracket than the rest of OKC. Also, they probably have to spend a little more to get the organic/green/vegan/whatever ingredients necessary for their food. BUT, I still feel that things are overpriced. (One big exception is the day-old cupcake selection, which is decent, and the one I had today was still moist and just as tasty as the fresh one I'd had last time I went.) For lunch, though, the price tag is high and the portions are small. Today I had the lunch combo (half sandwich and salad), and paid $10 + tax for less than a handful of greens and a sandwich that felt thin. The bread on the sandwich was good, and it was big enough to make a decent sandwich, but the base of the sandwich (buffalo chicken salad) was barely there. Also, I had them leave the tomato off the sandwich and add onion. They charged me $0.50 additional for the onion, which contributes to the over-priced effect by adding the feeling of being nickeled and dimed. Overall, I would (and have) sent people here for the cupcakes (especially if there are dietary concerns to consider), and their chocolate chip cookies are definitely noteworthy, but I personally feel like it's not really worth the cost. I'll probably find somewhere else to try and see if I feel the quantity matches the price. For me, price doesn't equal quantity here. At least on...
