Read moreWe ordered a to-go order in late June over the phone. We are now living out of state & when we are in our hometowns - we never miss getting upper crust. When we were living in OK, we’d visit Edmond or Tulsa monthly. Pains me to leave a negative review!
This location & its food quality was a big miss. The to-go/curbside service was excellent, friendly, impressively fast - no complaints whatsoever there. However, when we got home - we were genuinely annoyed (especially considering the high price point). We ordered the dishes we know & love - garlic cheese bread, big farmer’s market salad, pizza, cookie pie, pig sauce, ranch, etc.
The garlic cheese bread was tough & dry. We are salt addicts & this bread was so salty that we tossed it. Maybe a new recipe?
The pizza was okay - crust was great but less toppings than we are used to.
Big farmer’s market salad - Maybe there was confusion over the phone on big vs little sizes? We ordered a big on the phone - the volume of salad in the container was SO low. Lots of Boston Bibb staulks. Quality of dressing was solid though.
Cookie pie - worst part of the order. I included some pictures here. The top, bottom, sides were so torched - the pictures don’t capture how burnt & inedible it was on the bottom. We tried to make it work but burnt chocolate is just not salvageable.
We have had 10+ years in food service. Weekends get busy & mistakes do happen. However, we couldn’t be believe a location with prices this high would be this blatant in serving cheap, inedible food. There’s no excuse as this order most certainly passed through several FOH, BOH, to-go or even mgmt to be boxed up. If you decide to visit this location, I recommend dining in so if there is an order issue - you’ll be able to rectify it there & then vs....
Read moreMy experience at Upper Crust was a masterclass in culinary chaos. The food? A taste sensation akin to dry and flavorless regret. The drinks? Disappointment in a glass.
However, the pièce de résistance was the mind-blowing experience of being cut off from purchasing said disappointing drinks. Apparently, the manager Jennifer possessed psychic abilities that determined our collective intoxication level, despite our coherence and engaging banter. Uncanny!
In a twist of hospitality genius, the manager graciously offered to hail us a ride, presumably to escape the flavor disaster within. Forget star ratings; Upper Crust deserves an award for the most absurd cut-off policy. Kudos to the server who, with a visible blush of embarrassment, spilled the beans on this chaotic charade.
Upon summoning the manager, Jennifer, to shed additional light on this mortifying ordeal, we were enlightened with the revelation of "confusion." Apparently, their army of servers couldn't fathom the complexities of tracking drinks, opting to assume we were all on a four-drink marathon.
In conclusion, if you're yearning for an unforgettable evening of gastronomic mayhem and bewildering service decisions, Upper Crust is your...
