Lunar Lounge — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

Heard about this bar from a friend who saw it from Tik Tok. Went to go discover this bar on a Friday evening in July.

First, the location. It’s deemed a “hidden bar” so there is no direct signage outside which will point it out. You have to park at the Midtown Plaza Court or somewhere nearby there. Keep in mind weekdays (Mon through Fri) there is paid parking by streets or curbs but it’s free in the plaza parking lot.

Enter the building from the main plaza door entry. And once inside the office building on the first floor, there’s a secret lever that needs to be pulled. (I won’t spoil it and say where, since that part was fun to locate).

Once inside the bar is illuminated by blue light and has a lot of astrological art and signage. Such a fun find!

The drinks were affordable and were priced between $10-15 for cocktails and beers, of course, are cheaper.

They also have a machine called R.O.B. (Randomly ordered beer) where you can put money in the vending-like machine and it picks a random drink for you! Haha. That was cool and a friend of mine ended up with one he never had before.

Crowd was laid back and mature. So no random two stepping or crazy obscene music. It was popular music, from 80s to now, I would say. Gave a slightly upscale but dive bar vibe.

I’d recommend this for those wanting to do something ‘out of the box’ with friends for a fun night for those who like to socially drink! Or for those who want to find some cute social media worthy pictures after a night out with friends.

**I didn’t have any food so I can’t rate on that. But mainly my overall experience with ambiance and drinks ans environment overall.

My husband and I came across this bar not long after it opened, and it immediately became our favorite spot. From the cool vibe to the friendly bartenders to the ever-changing seasonal drink menus, Lunar Lounge is a bar that makes you feel both special and at home. You feel special because you're in OKC's not-so-hidden gem, in a great ambiance enhanced by cool lighting and some pretty awesome playlists. You know you're going to find some unique drinks that are not only delicious but are playful -- like an entire winter drink menu based on a "Home Alone" theme! You feel at home because the bartenders want to help you find a drink you'll love, and they're happy to talk with you about them. They love to see people having a great time, and I've even seen them make sure customers felt safe. Lunar Lounge's popularity has skyrocketed, meaning the crowds have definitely increased, but these professionals work tirelessly to keep up with the orders so you can have your craft cocktail or R.O.B. I came here with a first date after dinner on a Saturday, and at first it was really chill with nice vibes and great service. We were having the best time until this man came up to my date and put his arm around her waist and tried to put his hand in her waistband. We obviously freaked out and started yelling at this man and he claimed that he thought she was his “mother.” We started yelling at him obviously and then one of the bartenders told US that we needed to calm down, and that we “can’t do that here”. Then proceeded to continue making his drink. We were apologizing to the bartender bc we are both in the service industry but it didn’t make sense how we were getting yelled at when my date got assaulted by a man. As a bartender I always make sure the safety of my guests is #1 priority and it was busy but we were not reassured and no one spoke to us to make sure we were okay or asked about the situation.
