I was a big fan of the old Plaza District location; I went there for lunch almost every weekend and celebrated my birthday there 2 years in a row, so I couldn’t wait to try out the new location. Unfortunately I won’t be coming back. We got there shortly after they opened and stood at the counter ready to order for several minutes, while staff just stared at us and continued working. The music was so loud and the man who finally took our order looked disheveled and miserable. It was all just strange. The brisket papas was served on top of a paper liner, I guess to make cleanup easier for the staff, but the paper started to disintegrate as it got wet so having wet paper mixed in with my food an was interesting experience. The brisket itself was fatty and bland, completely opposite to how it used to be. They’re also using flimsy plastic cutlery and cups now, which I think is wasteful and cheapened the whole experience even more. We were there from around 11am-1pm and only 3 other parties of 2-4 came in during that time, while restaurants in the surrounding area had lines of people waiting out the door. I’m not sure what happened during the move to make nearly everything about the new location so bad, but I sincerely hope it’s temporary and they...

Really good Taco place. Since it was our first time here (NYE of 2021) we decided to try a variety of items. We got a dip trio: Guac, queso, and salsa. The chips were perfect. Maybe the best I've had in a while. Guacamole and Queso were solid as well. Didn't really try the salsa (because the Queso was hard to leave alone).

For Tacos we got:

The Jack - which is your basic, crispy beef taco. I'd give it 4 stars for sure.

Birria Tacos - I don't have much to compare these to - but you need to order this for sure. Really tasty. My wife would barely give me a bite. This was a 5 star taco.

Grilled Jerk Pork - this was my fav taco. Super good pork, slaw was tasty, lots of flavor in this one. 5 star taco as well.

Crispy Cod - was not my favorite. Matter of fact I didn't really like it. Fish was kind of soggy. I'd give it 3 stars.

House Margarita - I hate to say it but this was my least fav item on the menu. Prob just me but maybe 2 stars. Didn't even finish it. Switched to a beer about 1/2 way thru.

Rice/beans/side items are not included with the tacos. My wife got the beans (they weren't her favorites and she eats a lot refried beans).

I'd suggest the Queso, and an order of the Birria Tacos...

MR is close to the house, so a buddy and I swung out for lunch one afternoon recently. The service was phenomenal. As first time fliers, our waitress took the time to explain the menu to us, and even joined in on our riffing.

We started with apps that came out quickly and tasted very good. Everything can always use more salt, but that's just my palette, and has nothing to do with the preparation itself.

The entrees slapped. Each of us had a few tacos as they're street style, so the portion sizes skew smaller. We also had drinks to wash it all down. Again, another winner. Colorful, bursting with flavor, and not too strong, but not weak. Pitch perfect.

So why only 4 ⭐? Well, I personally feel the pricing is a bit high for the portion sizes. I can go to a few other places that are similar concepts, spend the same amount, and walk out with leftovers. That's a consideration of mine, but if you don't mind the šŸ’²šŸ’²šŸ’²then you'll have a 5 ⭐ experience. The yacht rock that was playing almost pushed it over the top though....
