If you’re in Oklahoma City and craving a unique dining experience, look no further than Waffle Champions. This delightful eatery specializes in waffles, offering a tantalizing blend of sweet and savory options that cater to diverse dietary needs, including fantastic gluten-free selections!
One of the highlights of our visit was the presentation; our waffles arrived elegantly on a silver tray, adding a touch of class to our meal. While things may get a bit messy (but isn't that part of the fun?), rest assured that every bite is worth it.
We indulged in a variety of dishes, including the standout Waffle Sandwiches. I opted for the Chicken and Waffles, which paired perfectly with a drizzle of hot honey—truly an incredible combination that balances savory and sweet beautifully. My wife tried the Migas Waffle Sandwich, and she couldn't stop raving about it! She was able to get it with the gluten free waffle.
To complement our meal, we also ordered Waffle Fries, which turned out to be an excellent bang for our buck! They were crispy and flavorful, ranking among the best waffle fries we've had.
While the parking situation can be a bit tricky, especially with the limited spaces and nearby apartment restrictions, it's a small inconvenience compared to the delightful experience that awaits inside.
Overall, I highly recommend Waffle Champions. Whether you're a fan of savory dishes, seeking gluten-free options, or simply looking for a fun dining experience, this spot should definitely be on your list. We can’t wait to go back and try more...
Read moreI read in a couple of different sites about this place. We were in the city for a weekend, so we decided to try. It was a sunday and it felt like going to a popular place in NYC, because there was a quite long queue outside it. But we stayed and we dont regret. The service, speed, coordination between the waiters and the kitchen team was flawless! We ordered the “french toast” and “poached egg” ones. They were big (but if you have been to the US, you kind of learn everything is big here), but delicious!!! The only reason why I am not giving this place 5 stars is because when I ordered the ‘poached egg’ one the bloke at the till actually asked “how I want my eggs”. And I was like... “hang on a minute” - why do I have to explain that i want them running inside if this is already “implicit” when one’s ordering poached eggs? I felt like they did not do a good job in this part... and when the dish came out it looked like an egg cooked “sunny side up” (that’s how they call it here in the USA) from any breakfast place. Id recommend the team of this place to work a little bit better on that part. If it is poached, you dont need to ask how the customer want the egg and it should be already self-explanatory that the egg should be cooked, outside the shell, by poaching, as opposed to frying, simmering or...
Read moreWell, Waffle House has lived up to the very poor national reputation that is has. As you can see in the photos, all of the tables were dirty when I arrived. I sat in the waiting chairs for almost 30 minutes before I was seated at a clean table. I must add that after a few customers picked up some telephone orders, I was the ONLY customer waiting in the restaurant! Then I STILL had to wait an additional 20 minutes before being seated. I reported the incident through their customer satisfaction link and received a call a few days later. The unidentified young man who called was indignant, dismissive, and totally failed to take accountability for the poor service. His explanation was that there was a large group of people that came before me. Therefore suggesting that their duty to render good service was absolved. He offered no remedy other than an empty “I’m sorry sir” and nearly hung up the phone “in my face”. It was the most pathetic response to a quality service complaint that I’ve ever experienced and it was even worse than the poor service itself. Needless to say, if you’re dining inside and expect to receive even the reasonable service, good luck. From a service standpoint, I essentially got slapped...
