Had a meetup here. We went on the first night so I did not know what to expect. Grand Openings can be really good or really bad. I did not know what they served so I was eager to see what they had to eat. The night we went there were a ton of servers so I'm guessing service will be fast and we can eat soon. I was a little wrong on that, I ordered an Horchata and it took some time to get to me. I did not want to ding them on that because it is the first day. Apparently I was given a bigger glass then it was supposed to come in so I got a little extra. I really liked it, the only bad thing was if you waited too long to drink the rest of the Horchata it got watery pretty quickly. The first several minutes were good but by the time my food came it was watery. They also serve you popcorn with some seasoning, which is a change of pace. Definitely not like chips and salsa but it will do. We did end up getting chips and salsa, which was around $6 bucks. I did really like the chips, it seemed like they were homemade so brownie points for that. Each taco was $3 on the menu, I thought that was fairly high for that item especially since I can generally order several tacos with beans and rice for about $7 bucks but I gave it a chance. As like the Horchata, the food took some time to get to us. I thought the meat was tender but there was a lack of seasoning. One of the manager did come over to see how the meal was and we did not there was a lack of season on the tacos. The last thing we had were desserts, we tried the churro with chocolate sauce and a tres leche rice dessert. Both of them were just amazing. I love churros and chocolate but when you dip the churros in chocolate, it makes the dessert that much better. The churros is served cold so that was a little different from what I am used to. I will say I never had a tres leche rice dessert before, and what they had is a bowl with tres leche in it. This tres leche was in a bowl and not in a solid state. It was kind of like a dessert soup in a sense but not a soup. Anyways you put some strawberries on the tres leche and it is to die for. I would definitely come back for dessert and this nacho appetizer that I saw a picture of. Definitely a good hangout place and can get some...
Read moreDon't be fooled by the exterior. Walking in, you will be greeted with the amazing scent of fresh peppers and a friendly hardworking staff. My wife and I arrived around six thirty and almost immidiately able to be seated. Our waitress, a model for everything wait staff should be, promptly brought our complimentary bowl of popcorn seasoned with peppers and brown sugar. My wife ordered a "Cannon Ball" margarita, a margarita topped with a snow cone, and was extremely pleased with the flavor and strength. After ordering, we we're brought a bowl of chips and salsa. The corn tortillas chips were honestly the best I have ever had. They we're thick, crispy, and tasted as though they had just been made. The salsa was warm and topped with a dollop of guacamole. For dinner I ordered the "Burro", an enormous burrito, and my wife ordered a selection of three street tacos which also came with black beans and Mexican rice. Normally not a fan of Mexican rice, my wife could not stop commenting on how much she loved the consistency, soft yet not overly cooked, and the seasoning. Whereas normally the rice is left on her plate at the end of our meal, I don't think a single grain was left. Her tacos looked amazing and apparently tasted better. And my burrito was stuffed with rice, beef, and I think, heaven. It was served to me sitting in salsa and covered in pico-de-gallo. We left having spent $50 and some change, including the tip, completely stuffed, and having eaten the best Mexican food...
Read moreSeated fast in a semi full restaurant... The place had TVs in sight from any table. The host staff was jovial and awesome. (Co-workers get together is what brought me here) We were taken care of in a VIP fashion by an always smiling (red hair gentleman) forgot his name....maybe I can blame the tequila? He was super awesome! Anything we asked he got for us! It was a truly VIP experience. The ticket got picked up by the big time people at the table.{didn't change my style of ordering} Chips - salsa and queso, guacamole flights were ordered and when they say good they are joking. The red salsa was fresh and tasty. The chips came out hot & fresh. Entree wise I had the queso fundito with pork carnitas meat instead of chorizo with tortillas The portion on the grillplate could have fed the table of all 10!!!! The grill cast iron plate it was delivered on might have been 18in of circumference. Check the picture. Hot and delicious it was. I would order 10/10 times again. I like the place !!!! Margarita Flight was an interesting experience. A delicious one at that... My watermelon Marg got switched out from a co-worker at the table so in essence I had two Habanero tequila margs. also a peach tequila one. I later had a Dos Equis lager to wash all foods down. This place has good food and phenomenal atmosphere in my opinion. I will return! Thank you again for the awesome experience and hospitality! Til next...
