Me and my family were finally in the area. We’ve wanted to try this place out for a while now, and today we finally got the chance to do that. We pulled up to the drive-through. We were the only ones in the drive-through and waited about seven minutes before someone came to the window to take our order (there should be a bell or a button for the drive-through customers to press to notify the inside management that they have someone waiting). After placing our order, we stated we wanted one burrito with onions & one without onions. Welp, both burritos came with onions.🤨 We also ordered two drinks, one with ice and the other without ice, and once again, both drink orders came with ice. We asked for extra sauce due to the size of the burrito but only received two sauce cups, one for each burrito. The food was nice and hot, but the wait time was over 30 minutes, and we only ordered five items. Not sure how the service is when ordering from inside, but ill return...
Read moreI was visiting the outlets and decided to stop by Golden Burrito since it was right across the street. I went through the drive thru. It was my first time, and I immediately noticed that there were no prices posted anywhere — not on the wall, not on the menu, nowhere.
I ordered a pork in green chile burrito with just beans and the stew. The tortilla tasted fresh and the food itself was actually pretty good. Nothing mind-blowing, but solid. The burrito was a normal size — not oversized or anything fancy.
But here’s the catch: they charged me over $8 for one burrito. No drink. No extras. Just the burrito. That’s wild. I get inflation, but no burrito like that should be more than $5, tops.
So heads up — if you stop by, just know that you won’t know what you’re paying until it’s too late. Honestly, I can’t help but wonder if I got overcharged because I didn’t order in Spanish? Not sure. Either way, I won’t...
Read moreTL:DR? Go find a truck. Their spots are pretty static. It’s cheaper and there’s more options.
I’ve come in here a couple times and walked back out. The staff don’t seem like they want to be of service and the prices are high. I hit the golden burrito trucks regularly for breakfast. Not bacon and eggs, they have that. But a green chile brisket and potato or a chile relleno burrito with my morning coffee. I’m a happy guy. The brick and mortar store obvious Loy commissary for the trucks. But I’ve never understood why my $4, now my $4.50 burrito off the truck is 9-11 bucks with a dribble of beans and rice at the restaurant.
Burritos are car food to be used it as a microphone to sing Bonnie Tyler songs at stop lights. if you want to make it wet or dress it up with salad and cream on top, we’ll, it’s a sit down meal. That’s all I have to...
