This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Whataburger, sadly. Usually this one is amazing, so I was shocked whenever it was so bad. The wait took FOREVER (we waited 45 minutes for our food to get out), and it wasn’t even packed. There seemed to be plenty of staff, but usually there isn’t (and it’s still faster when it’s been short-staffed than it was tonight). The girl taking orders at the front counter was genuinely one of the rudest people I have ever met working in fast food. She seemed to have a chip on her shoulder the whole time. They got our order wrong, and when I came up and politely asked if we could get what we ordered (and showed the receipt with the correct item on it), she laughed in my face. She couldn’t keep from laughing for about the next 20 minutes and kept acting put out by everything anyone asked. I also watched her ring up multiple wrong orders for many other customers, all while she was condescending and rude to each of them. Everyone was looking around at each other like “Is she serious?”. I feel sorry for the good workers there having to work with her. Many of them seemed very nice and hardworking, while also being agitated with her attitude. I can deal with the long wait times, but I would rather not deal with workers being unnecessarily rude, especially when I know good and well they would be throwing a fit if they were treated the same way. I don’t need the rudeness, I just want my food. To add insult to injury, the order was still wrong when they brought it back out, but my fiancée decided to eat it anyway because we didn’t want to wait any longer and cause a scene (or have her food get spit in). If I was the manager of this girl working the front counter, I would have fired her on the spot with no questions asked. Even if there aren’t enough workers, this girl is hurting the restaurant significantly and making all of her coworkers jobs’ much harder than they need to be. We may return and give this location a chance, but if it is this bad again, it is likely that we will never return. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in fast food. Read moreI ordered through the app for the first time 3/23/23 for a 4:45-4:50 P.M. pick up. App order pick up through drive thru isn't an option til after 10 P.M. the other options were come inside or curbside pick up, upon selecting curbside I was prompted to select space 1 or 2 to park in.
I assumed I was to wait in the spaces curbside across from the drive thru though they were all labeled B and not numbered and parked in the first one. I arrived at 4:52 after waiting a few mins I began to wonder if I was maybe parked in the wrong place and circled round the building and initially didn't see spaces with numbers and so went back to the spaces across from the drive thru.
After my order still hadn't come out after 5 mins, I double checked the app to see if I missed something which is when I saw the prompt to check in upon arrival, I checked in and by this time it is 5. After my order still didn't come out I slowly circled to see if I was parked in the right space when signs on posts marked 1-3 caught my eye.
I pulled into #1 and still nothing. Another customer pulls into 3 a few mins later, and their order comes out. I feel as long as I've been waiting the employee who bought out the other order should have asked myself or other workers if I've been taken care of.
I go in at 5:21 and tell the employee I checked in at 5 and haven't received my order. The meals had been just sitting there ready and had gone cold. I asked the employee how long had it been ready, he says he doesn't know he just got there at 5, says have a nice day around his shoulder barely audible as he's walking away.
I did not have time to ask for a manager. This absolutely should not have happened with team work that a unclaimed order is just sitting there ready. It seems a lone car parked out across from the drive thru would make someone wonder if it's possibly the 4:50 pick up parked in the wrong place. Read moreWhen you go to Whataburger, it's expected that you wait. Usually, the reason is due to freshness. I waited at the window for 20 minutes, only to receive a dry, not fresh spicy chicken sandwich and cold fries. I expected this to be because Whataburger serves fresh, but obviously, it was not the case today. The woman at the window was able to make 7 with no room to sit them before I got my meal. My advice is to replace the crew or do better!
02/23/2025 Second review update: You would think things would get better at this store, but I was very wrong. I go back hoping that whataburger managers actually gave a sgit about their employees and customers. Well, the employees definitely reflect that lack of manager experience during whatever shift is present between 7pm and 8pm. I show up in my work truck during lunch and make my order, which was questioned by other employees, and all you hear is the idiot who took my order less than 3 minutes states while laughing that his elephant brain forgot within a three minute period and thinking that my job must be a joke as he proceeded to act like a jackass in front of his supervisor. After paying, I then approached the window again, asking me to pay after, already paying. There are no third chances on this place, and the employees here definitely reflect the ignorance of their supervisor and show his lack of control and training...
