The person working today has had a rough life I think and needs a hug. Or a lot of hugs. Unfortunately, this review will not be one of them.
I'm having an extremely difficult time finding appropriate and articulate language to express how awful our experience was at this location. Things went from birthday fun to jarring aggression real fast while the associate enthusiastically explained that it's Baskin Robins "policy" that not only could our family (6 people) not sit together to eat the $30+ cake we preordered for a 5 year olds birthday, but we were also scolded when asking for utensils to eat it with. "It's our policy, if you don't like that it's not my problem." Didn't realize this was a bring your own fork and seating kind of thing, but noted. The tables and utensils they have must be decorative. Company policy.
This is all totally understandable — they must've been overwhelmed with the zero other customers. I now understand why they do such high volume business.
Fortunately, after he escalated the situation by yelling and making the situation sound personal he offered to call the cops on my family. This was warmly accepted, though I think he was having a difficult time remembering the number. It's 911, please remember it for future instances.
He also challenged us to never return. I think we can match that energy while trying to imagine what pathetic things this person is going to put on, what I hope, is the inevitable resume for his next big opportunity. They attempted first to give me less than I asked for per their own scale and attempted to charge me almost $10 for 4 ice cream scoops. A quart is only $9 and I had no where near that amount. When I asked if they could put back part of the ice cream as the other stores I go to usually charge the 4th scoop as an extra scoop. The owner refused. He offered to take off a dollar but continued raising his voice at me asking if I couldn't read the sign where the prices were. Again I tried to explain my shock was due to not paying that at other stores. He continued being rude so I just asked if he could give me back my money and I would go. He gave it to me and told me next time to pay attention then proceeded again to point to the price signs. I noticed the price for the quarts at this point and asked if i had more or less than a quart. He grabbed an empty quart and said this is bigger than what you have. So then i asked him why is it cheaper than? Can you just put mine in thete with more ice cream to make a hand packed quart and I'll buy that. He yelled at me to be quiet and wait my turn then proceeded to throw the already scooped ice cream in the trash while telling me to shoo...
Read moreWe had a horrible customer service experience. After waiting in the drive thru for 20 minutes, we got to the speaker to order. They took at least another 10 minutes to attempt to take our order. He asked us to pull up to the window to place our order, which did not seem like an issue; hiwever I tried to order my daughter a sundae with the strawberry topping. The man told me he could get me a strawberry shake, but he didn't know what it was that we wanted unless I had the exact name of the menu item from the board. I explained the menu said there are sundaes that you pick the number of scoops and the toppings, which had strawberries listed. He said he wouldn't help me because if he makes the wrong thing he is not going to take it back. I wanted a simple sundae with strawberries for the topping. I couldn't believe that after it was all said and done I had been there for over 30 minutes and had to leave without getting my kids ice cream. If I could give them 0 stars I would. We are never going back there and recommend everyone else...
