We hosted a Bridal Shower at Sweet Tee's on 10/6/24. It was a wonderful experience from the start.
Karen, whom I worked with for the event, was AMAZING!! She, was very responsive in her communications, accommodating, gave helpful suggestions, and checked in with me through out the process, even the day of the event letting us know the event space was available just a bit early to bring items in!
Karen and Cora worked alongside me the day of the shower to ensure every detail of the event space met our vision for the day. Thank you for setting up the signs and board to direct the guests to the correct door and moving tables to fit our needs.
There were so many compliments on the Barista service (great job Cora!), the food, and overall sweetness of the event space. We had a selection of bites including muffins, scones, cookies and the amazing Goodness Bars!
Karen, I cannot thank you and your team enough for being so wonderful to work with, and helping make the Bride's shower as special as it was to her!
If you are looking for an event space that is easy on the budget with a relaxed atmosphere, amazing coffees, teas, and pastries, along with wonderful people to work with, I highly recommend having Sweet Tee's host or...
Read moreI'm writing this review as a former barista of Sweet Tee's, as well as a person that still visits when I'm able. From the employment side, Ms. Tee is the most kind, considerate, compassionate, insightful, and most wise employer I've ever had. She cares about the person. I remember one time in particular, I was having a horrible day, so she covered the front while I just spent some time cleaning and getting my head on straight.
The places you want to give your time and money to are the places where the owner cares about the development and growth of their employees, and Ms. Tee does exactly that. I worked there both as a college student as well as a young adult, fresh out of college. She was certain to work with my school schedule, and always encouraged me to do self-growth and self-care. Tee makes sure to support education as a whole in whatever ways she can, and is actively involved with MidAmerica Nazarene University and some events they do.
From the customer side, the space is second to none. It's cozy, there are tons of outlets all over, as well as a private room that can be reserved. Go and find a home...
Read moreMy human's friend got cold brew coffee, said it was good. One paw up. My human was hungry and got a spinach quiche that was microwaved, too hot, rubbery, the size of a muffin, and about $4.30 with tax. Paw down. Staff was not unfriendly, but not outgoing, not personal. Paw down. They did not have even a large mug or bowl for me to drink water, tho my human saw many on shelves. Paw down. Location is large, however, and quiet. One tail wag. This is not a place with the whole deal: drinks, baked goods, and fresh food. Ear down. Other reviews suggest friendly, community atmosphere. This was not our experience. My human and I are realizing how spoiled we are by our regular shop, KS Coffee Company. We cannot find any equivalent to the high quality and selection at KS Coffee. Sweet Tee's is hard to find initially. Go behind the pawn shop and CVS. Great parking. Ear up. Only one visit, but may be good for small group meetings. Clean floor. No scraps for me. Recommend fresh food options. Humans left hungry. I went home and settled for kibble. Sadly, I rate this as my average experience in...
