Shake Shack Old Bridge — Restaurant in Old Bridge Township

I attended the store Grand Opening and it was very organized. I was guided by management personnel to order at the cash register because all of the order kiosks had customers using them. The cashier(s) smiled and were very cordial. I like that customers are asked their name and invited to take a seat in the dining room and given a number sign, to wait for their take-out order. Although my order was takeout, once I received my order from a management gentleman, I decided to eat part of my order because it looked (and smelled) picture perfect. A friendly employee named Dakota briefly stopped by to ask if I was enjoying my order, which was so nice. Staff was standing around and seemed very oblivious to what was going on when I walked in. The inside was completely empty except for two people sitting down. I told the kid at the counter I was there to pick up my order. After searching through the three other bags there, he hands me my order. I asked if everything was there and he opened the bag, looked inside and said yes. When I got home and opened the bag, I was a little disappointed. I paid $6.00 for truffle fries, and received $4.00 regular fries. After accepting it’s just sauce, the fries turned out to be freezing cold like they’ve been sitting out for hours. I recently went to Shake Shack because they had a BOGO deal over Christmas. The deal was great, but I was disappointed by the size of the burgers. I remember having Shake Shack many years ago, and the burgers were not only tasty but also reasonably sized. Unfortunately, it seems “shrinkflation” has taken its toll. While the burger is still flavorful, the size is more like a slider, and it doesn’t feel worth the price.

I would prefer if Shake Shack charged more for a properly sized burger that delivers on value. Of course, this isn’t the fault of the Old Bridge Shake Shack location—it’s likely a corporate decision to...
