We visited this place during the winter off season, we walked over 20 minutes to get it it because every place was closed and there was not many bars or options around. We had no idea walking in that there would be a band playing that wasn't to bad at all. Also a birthday party with friendly people that gave us cupcakes, and very welcoming people all around. We could immediately tell it was a bar of locals, but we had fun and stayed all night. The bartender was friendly and I told her I'd try any good local craft beer, she introduced me to a man at the end of the bar who brewed a couple beers, so it sparked a few quick conversations with the bar folks. Seems like the bar has been here a long time with the decor, and some parts were cluttered with... stuff. I bet with a little work there could be more options for this place for entertainment, games, or many great options. Seems like a cool local pub.

Older crowd, when I was there the live music was amazing. Pool tables was a great big antique...best kind. Electric cushions, whatever the f that means(amazing early 1900s sillliness) . Sticks where okay. Bartenders where nice and fellow patrons where enjoyable.

I didn’t order food so I can’t rate it but the band that played here on a Saturday night was amazing and one of the bartenders was super sweet! Great, low-key bar in OOB. Jack - the old dog - was a plus!

TL;DR: This isn't a Scottish pub. It's a pub that serves a few dishes named (and priced) like some Scottish dishes, but this is a "Scottish Pub" the same way Taco Bell is a "Mexican Restaurant." The difference being that at Taco Bell, you get what you pay for.

I was pretty excited to find a "Scottish pub" open late on a Thursday. After receiving my order (delivered by DoorDash), I don't know if I'll even be able to finish it. The scotch egg was not bad. Not "good;" just "not bad.

The corned beef dinner was about 2 ounces of beef, and a plateful of the most disgusting, over-cooked cabbage I've ever had. Accompanying that were a couple of carrot chunks (with skins still on) and a few pieces of potato that were just totally inedible. The "bread and butter" was a slice of stale, commercial bread. Not even from the grocery store bakery; one step up from Wonder bread.

The meat pie was disappointing at best. I suppose it's possible there were some onions in the pile of bland beef, but I couldn't find them.

This is not a "Scottish pub;" it's a bar that serves awful American versions of dishes named after Scottish food. I wouldn't be so salty about it, but this was all priced as if it was authentic, well-prepared Scottish food. For the price, I at least expected the food to be edible. This was just revolting.

Judging by the other reviews here, coupled with my own experience, I don't know how this place stays in business. Maybe the burgers are good. My advice:...

If you are vacation in Maine DO NOT GO! I’m sad to say I have to give a star at all! I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a bar. As soon as we walked in the bartender was completely rude and not to mention I didn’t even get to finish my beer! They took it from us. The owner walked over and practically ripped our drinks out of our hands. A local told the owner to take our drinks and get out! Like you guys can’t even run a bar but you even need a local to do it for you? Not to mention she FOLLOWED ME into the bathroom and knocked on the stall trying to find out if I was puking? WTF... I told her I’m using the restroom? .. honestly these people should just grow up and find another hobby. Because running a bar clearly isn’t there expertise. Then I got HARASSED Outside for wearing leather pants!!!! I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in my life. We should have never left the first bar because BRUNSWICK was amazing! Great people and a great atmosphere.. I cannot stress this...

Came here last night after coming from another bar with friends. Tried to get one more round before last call. Got there easily a half hour before last call, was served a drink no problem. Until it was closing time and the owner came right up to us and forced us to chug our drinks because it was closing time. Okay, no big deal. My friends and I tried to drink our drinks up as she stood right in front of us and demanded we either drink them immediately or she would "take them out of our hands" and said "I'm not gonna lose my liquor license over you". My aunt passed me her beer to have me finish it for her and she told us to stop passing them around and drink them or she would take them. How unprofessional can you be? It's off season at the beach, you think you'd want to bring customers in and be accommodating. We couldn't have had one more minute to finish our drinks? Definitely WILL NOT be coming...
