Make this your go to ! It was our last day of vacation and to be honest the food here was bad everything was bland and really not worth the money told the family next year we bring our own food and mom will cook....but then we took a longer walk and was trying to find some place that was going to be a great last meal at the beach as we walked looking at the different places a local resident over heard our convo of how terrible the food has been during our time down here and she recommended this place "Bell Buoy" she said its the only place she goes out to eat at so we said lets try it couldn't be no worse than what we have been having..... and OMG this place was amazing !!!! Next vaca we will only eat here as our faith in good dining out has been restored by this place... Lets start with the feel ... it was nice and cozy...the staff were super nice and warm....the food arrived quickly....our family tried the seafood alfredo (delicious) the chicken and broccoli alfredo ( best we ever had) Lasagna (delicious) my kid has this and the kid menu doesn't come with the garlic bread but the waitress got my girl a piece and it just added that extra smile and yumm to her meal, the steak with mushrooms , onions and shrimp was fabulous, and lastly the bacon burger was on point and full of flavor (2 of us had this). We spent $125 for all of that but it was definitely worth every penny. If you need a great place to eat please go here you will not regret it. Thank you Bell Bouy and the random local lady :) :) This ended our vacation on a great belly filled yumm smile we will see you all next year and will only eat here. Finally a...
Read moreLast night, Sunday August 31, we walked in at around 6:15pm to see if we can get a table for dinner. I noticed when we walked in, there was a woman standing ahead of us already waiting, and I noticed the host was behind the hostess stand. He didn’t even look up or make eye contact with anyone and walked to the back of the restaurant. I asked the woman if she had put her name in for a table and she said “no, I’ve been waiting for someone to notice me”. The host came back to the stand, didn’t say a word or look up at anyone and the woman asked how long it would be for a table, and all he replied was “it’s going to be awhile”. That’s an extremely subjective thing to say…is “awhile” 20 minutes? An hour? 3 hours? He never said. Then she asked, “can I put our name in for a table then?” And he said “no, we don’t take names.” And went about doing whatever he was doing behind the hostess stand, which didn’t look like much. He didn’t make eye contact with us, didn’t address us, nothing. After seeing that interaction of how rude and unfriendly they have for a host, we all turned around and walked out. Never have I ever experienced this in my life, especially visiting from my hometown that is also a tourist area. I worked in the restaurant industry for almost a decade and this was hands down some of the worst service I’ve ever seen within the first 5 minutes in...
Read moreWhere to start? sigh The mimosa I got was too strong and, obviously, not champagne. Most likely vodka or clear whiskey. I waited 15 min to be noticed at my table. I mean, you ignore someone sitting alone but not others? The guy forgot my drinks and I had to ask another server. My other drink was a ginger ale. It took another 10 min to get them. The Marina Soup? The cream was FABULOUS but the stuff in it? The mussels are STILL in the shell, lets hope they were washed 1st, so it can be hard to open. The scallops were great, but only 2 in it. Kinda expected 3 or 4. The shrimp, while large and de vained, still have tails on equaling to a mess. The lobster chunks? While ok with the looks, de vained tail chunks and the claw sticking out, the tail needed to be smaller. Too big and chewy forces you to put it all in your mouth and rish choking. The bowl was not too deep. More like a saucer. Kinda not worth it. The staff are kind and smiling but easily forgetful. It is slightly busy but not overly crazy. No excuse to forget a single person vs bigger tables.
Try if you want, just be prepared to spend up to $40 per...
