I recently dined at Johnny Shuck’s Maine Lobster, and it was an absolute delight! The food was phenomenal, and every dish we tried was a testament to their commitment to fresh, delicious seafood and desserts.

The lobster roll was a standout—generously stuffed with tender, fresh lobster meat, lightly dressed to let the natural flavors shine, and served on a perfectly toasted bun. It was pure coastal perfection in every bite. The lobster poutine was equally impressive, with crispy fries smothered in a rich, savory lobster bisque and chunks of succulent lobster over waffle fries that elevated the dish to something truly indulgent. For dessert, the ice cream sandwich was a dreamy treat—creamy, cold ice cream sandwiched between soft, chewy cookies that hit all the right spots. And the whoopie pie? Absolutely divine—moist, chocolatey cake with a luscious, fluffy filling that was the perfect sweet finish.

Our church youth group was visiting all the way from North Carolina, and we couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome than what we received at Johnny Shucks! We called Johnny at the last minute with a group of 22, and he made it happen with absolute grace and enthusiasm.

Johnny personally oversaw every detail, making sure our group was comfortable and well taken care of. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and a true taste of Maine. His staff was friendly, attentive, and incredibly kind, making the entire experience feel like we were among friends.

What made the evening even more special was how Johnny helped us celebrate a 17th birthday for one of our group members, complete with a surprise cake! That extra touch of thoughtfulness meant so much to all of us.

This was our first lobster roll and haddock fish sandwich (we are from Arizona) and they were both so amazing! I think we are forever ruined and no others will compare! The owner was so friendly and excited for us to have the “Maine” experience. She even brought us a sample of the lobster bisque and clam chowder so our experience would be complete. (Both of those were SO good too!) The haddock sandwich was HUGE and the fish tasted so good! We opted to do our lobster roll with butter so we could really taste the lobster. (Which, was so smooth and tender that there was no doubt it was fresh, never frozen.) The weather was lovely so the outside seating was perfect.
