Tucked in the corner next to a huge Home Goods store is this little gem of a breakfast and lunch step back in time.Started by Trudy and Simone,Canadian sisters, the new ones keep their traditional popular breakfasts going to the delight of the locals who know good food ,reasonably priced served with a smile in a clean, cozy small eatery .We tried omelets, the " Country " with sausage ,cheddar cheese and veggies and the" Courtyard" scrambled with cheese and veggies( the hot salsa was best added to this) served with Raisin or wheat toast .Home fries just the right amount and texture, not dry .Coffee was good as was the Lemonade." The party melt" ,a lunch item was the right size of beef patty with cheese on bread. If you want a traditional New England breakfast/ lunch simply served..this is your place .no reservations, ample parking, handicapped accessible, kid friendly, but not for large parties

My wife's experience a year ago - I've just had my worst experience eating at this place! I've eaten here before, it's the cheapest place in town and I guess you get what you pay for. I took my 10 year old son out for breakfast to spend a little quality time and we decided to go to Courtyard, when we sat down we found some of the utensils dirty, the waitress made a comment about lousy help. I ordered a western omelet well done and received an omelet AL-dente. I called the waitress over to see if it could be cooked more or to order something else, the waitress got angry and started yelling at me, she tried to tell me the eggs weren't runny, then she said they never got any complaints and I should have ordered it well done if that's how I wanted it. I said I did and she checked the receipt and saw it written Dry/Well Done, at this point I just asked for the check. The restaurant was full and everyone was staring at us, I was very embarrassed as it's a small town ant there were people I knew there. The cook then came out of the kitchen and started yelling at me, she told me to get out and never come back and then the second waitress came over and started yelling at us also, my son was getting very scared I quickly paid the bill and got my son out of there. If you decide to go, I strongly recommend you accept what they give you and don't complain unless you want to be yelled at...

Food wasn't too bad, but like others have said, some of the staff can be incredibly rude. I've managed breakfast restaurants for years and I couldn't imagine rolling my eyes at any special requests, much less a fairly common one (in my case, I wanted my scrambled eggs done low and slow--something very easy to accomplish, and which I do every single day in my own restaurant). Nevertheless, my basic request seemed to overwhelm the waitstaff. They say you get what you pay for but, in this case, I don't agree. It doesn't cost anything to listen to the customer and attempt to honor their request when possible. Conversely, it costs this business in lost revenue when they force me to write a review like this, a review that could sway potential customers...
