Atmosphere & Ambiance
Ash’s Irish Pub truly transports you to the Emerald Isle. With old-world décor such as wine barrels, street lanterns, stained-glass windows, a walnut wood bar, and even a train station clock, it nails the late-19th to early-20th-century pub aesthetic. The lounge upstairs, furnished with Queen Anne-style sofas and high-backed chairs, adds a refined yet welcoming flair.
The Owner & Staff
Owned by veteran Justin Ash, the pub is deeply personal. After an injury in service and prolonged recovery, Justin realized his dream of opening an Irish gathering place. He’s hands-on with cooking, bartending, serving, and his intention is clear: foster belonging and connection, just like his own friends did for him.
Staff also get rave reviews. One bartender even said she “loves working for him because he treats all the employees so well.” The owner’s care isn’t just talk—it radiates through the team.
Food & Drink
The menu is rooted in tradition, featuring family-taught Irish favorites like bangers & mash, shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, Guinness beef stew, chicken and chips, and even poutine.
Great selection of whiskys and amazing food! The bartenders were very nice! Very courteous and on their game when it comes to customer service.
Community Vibes & Atmosphere
This is an Irish pub in spirit and experience, not just a place to eat, but one to gather. Justin envisioned a spot where strangers become friends, seated side by side at the bar, singing and celebrating together. That vision is coming to life: one night, the entire bar sang “No Nay Never,” slapping bar tops in joy.
Ash’s Irish Pub is more than just a bar and restaurant—it’s a heartfelt creation by a veteran looking to give Olive Branch a place where history, hospitality, and heart meet. The hearty, well-crafted food, friendly staff, and genuine welcoming vibe make it an outstanding choice—especially if you’re craving that classic Irish pub feeling right here in...
Read moreWe have been wanting to try this place for sometime. The atmosphere of the place was great, i loved the darts. Do have a few things that could be improved. First our service was not great, when we came in I took off my jacket and went to the restroom, when I came back my wife, son, and his wife had menus but there wasnt one were i was sitting, I waited but never got one so I had to use my wifes. We ordered our drinks and appetizer, but we were never offered refills. My son wanted a second beer but was never asked, i ran out of soda half way thru my meal no refill. Maybe its because we were there before the actual dinner crowd, i dont know. Second, the food was good, a couple of suggestions, we got the Poutine for appetizer, have never had it before but it was super salty, dont know if it is suppose to be that way but it was too salty for any of us to eat. I got a country fried steak it had really good flavor but it was thinner than what im used too which made the cook time just little too long. To get that good crunch the meat was a little tough. I would say either thicker piece or less cook time to balance it. Other than that the place was fine and we will go back for a second go around or at least just darts and drinks.
The last thing doesnt have anything to do with the place itself. There is a kerosene bullet heater on the side room they use to heat the bar area, I personally would find something else, that particular heater is only suppose to be used outside with lots of ventilation, they do have inside heaters available, we actually left when we did because the fumes from the heater were very strong where we were sitting by the dart boards. I would suggest a sliding barn door over that archway to eliminate the draft so the heaters in the bar area would be sufficient.
I really want to see this place succeed and stick around, I love a good quaint...
Read moreI was really excited about this place and really looked forward to trying it. But we went on a Tuesday evening and they basically were only half open. I think they definitely have tons of potential but I was really disappointed going in.
Bartender was really nice. Service was good! They allow babies but have no high chairs.... Fish and chips and fried chicken were decent but I have had better. --which brings me to my biggest problem. That's all they served Tuesday nights apparently. We sat their drooling over the actual menu only to be told we can't order any of it. We were planning on going another night but we were on a business trip and weren't able to make it back unfortunately. The place is harder than h e l l to find. They need more signs. We circled the block 3 times trying to figure it out. Almost gave up and kind of wish we did after all that work and being told we basically couldn't order anything. But again from out of town and didn't know where else to go at that point.
Ambiance is great though!! Super cool bar in a historic looking building and Irish music.
Free darts and board games.
So again this place has the potential to really be a must visit. But between barely any signage, information, marketing(Facebook), this was just a big miss for us. Hopefully their other food is better and hopefully they can help people navigate to...
