April 1st 2017 I go into Jack in the Box Plum St. Location had a seemingly normal encounter for ordering and receiving food at one of these places. Anyways I got home and went to eat my food, I opened my cheeseburger box and noticed a penny in the bottom... Not only in the bottom but inside my cheeseburger itself is my exact change I then realized I did not receive. AND THERE IT IS INSIDE MY FOOD!! Livid I get back in my truck and go back, I take a few deep breaths before heading in. I talk with a heavy set short haired Women who says she is a manager, I tell her what's going on, and she doesn't say sorry, instead she turns around and tells the crew making the sandwiches " This lady says that she found Pennies in her food " a man responded while laughing " how many where there, I'll add them to this one too " and they all started laughing!! I didn't say a word I walked over to the Plack on the wall that has the Owner info and snapped a photo, and contacted him. He got back to me and was super nice, he said he'd go into the store in person that day handle it and get back with me, he said he did later that day when he called me back and e mailed me a statement saying I was to have free meals yada yada yada.. I ended up boycotting Jack in the Box until recently, and that is why I am here on Google leaving this Review. So this visit months later I am in the drive threw, no one in front of me, no one behind me, I pull up to the intercom the lady says " hold on a sec " I said ok, easily 3 minutes go by and my dog is being a dog in my passenger seat, and I say something to him, and she yells at me threw the intercom " I said hold on!!! ". I drove away livid AGAIN! I thought about e mailing the owner again... But didn't, because it wasn't handled the 1st time clearly... So now I'm here on Google Reviews... Leaving my infuriating incounter (s) with Jack in the Box Plum St Location!! I have a photo of my Burger with the Pennies in it. I am going to try and post it with...
Read moreAs I sit here at my desk, I reflect on my most recent experience with Jack in the Box. This specific experience occurred roughly 15 minutes ago and recounts a story of disappointment and woe. I arrived at the Jack in the Box at 12:30 PM, to my surprise, there is no other cars at the drive-thru. "Great", I think to myself. This should be quick. I reach the window, and after a pleasant greeting I order the loaded potato wedges and a coke. When I arrive at the window, I am told the wedges will be several minutes, and I need to pull around to the front of the building. "Not a problem", I say, and promptly move my vehicle to the designated spot. I was given my coke beforehand, which was nice. I had an enormous, sugar-filled beverage to consume before I ingest and subsequently digest some delicious cheese and bacon covered fried potatoes. Another car was in front of me, while we both waited for our food, patiently. A few minutes later, the pleasant woman who took my order arrives and gives the vehicle in front of me their food, followed by her giving my potato wedges. I quickly drive back to the office where I sit and attempt to salvage what I had hoped would be a tasty treat. The wedges are piping hot, which was expected. What was not expected, however, was the complete and utter lack of anything resembling the word "loaded". These potato wedges have been neglected. Roughly 1/5 of my wedges had the faintest semblance of cheesy-bacony-goodness. The rest, dry, crispy, fried potatoes. I'm not entirely sure why this happened. I expected that my patience would be rewarded with, at the very least, an advertised product. Sorry Jack, but I won't be returning until I am assured that the potato wedges (which has increased price significantly since 2005 from $1.99 to $3.69 which grossly outweighs the typical cost-of-inflation increase) are returned to glory by way of heaping amounts of cheese and bacon. Also, would it kill you to throw a little sour...
Read moreI like JIB food. You can't really go wrong with anything you get. This visit I ordered the loaded breakfast sandwich. I got to the window, gave them my card and as it was being swiped the frontline worker quoted me the wrong price. I said "that's not my order". She told me she couldn't reverse the charge. I told her that wasn't acceptable and wouldn't pay more than I was supposed to. She got another employee to tell me the same thing. Again I said that was not acceptable. They got another employee who told me what I was purchasing cost more than I was being charged. That was not the case. I was offered more food for free but the sandwich I purchased is as much as I can eat. I didn't want food to take home and throw away. By this time the line was getting longer. People weren't happy with me and the staff were complaining that I was to upset about a couple dollars. I told them if they thought it was no big deal they could give me $2 and I'd leave. They told me it would be an hour before anyone would be available to reverse my charge. I said I'd wait. Then I did what they should have done. I called the phone number on the window that said to call if you have a problem. I immediately got an answer from the district manager. He was very understanding and said he'd tell the staff to give me a cash refund. Problem was, they wouldn't open the window to talk to him. He assured me he would take care of me so I pulled forward. He took down my information and promised to send me a refund. In the end, he did that and more. I give him a 5 star review, the food a 4 star review and the staff a -1 star review. Although the manager did what he could to make up for the staff, I don't know that I'll ever go back to this JIB. They could have called the manager like I did and everything would...
