I placed my catering order online 1 week ahead for a lunch meeting and arrived 10mins prior to the pickup time but the catering order was not ready until about 25mins after the requested pick up time. It made me late to my lunch meeting and made my lunch meeting run behind due to the delay and having to drive back in traffic to my office. This will probably be my first and last time ordering catering from the business even though my team really like the food. I called the store later about my not so great catering pick up experience and talked with the manager who said his name was Jay. He basically made excuses that it was basically my fault that I ordered my big catering at a busy time for them, they were short staffed and had other walk in lunch orders so I should have ordered after 2:00 pm even though that's not the time I would have needed the order for my lunch meeting. He said my order ticket came up at 11:20 for my pick up at 11:30a so if this is true, they definitely need a better system because thats a bad way to have catering orders transmit to the store. But the manager took no accountability, did not apologize, and was very rude and ended up hanging up on me when I asked for the store manager's name. He didn't seem to care and kept saying "well we don't gift refunds" when I never asked for one. I was just telling him about my bad experience and as a manager he should be able to show empathy, handle the feedback and apologize even if all of those factors played into why my order was delayed instead of being defensive and blaming the customer for ordering food. My order was over $350 plus I tipped. He was very unprofessional and should not be a manager if he really even is one. I've been in customer service for over 25 years and would never talk to a customer this way if my company made them wait for their order almost 30mins past the pickup time even if we were short staffed. They did not offer anything, a discount, a drink or anything while I waited for the delayed order. The front counter woman who packaged my order and was helping me originally was very nice and friendly so she it's not to blame. If they cannot handle catering orders during peak times than they need to not allow them to be ordered. Plenty of other businesses are capable of handling busy lunch times and catering orders at the same time because I order catering frequently and was hoping to add Dave's Hot chicken to my list of restaurants to use. They have a long way to go with that but I won't be back to find out when they...

I never do this. I rarely have experiences this aggravating and shocking I felt the need to share this story regarding the new Dave's Hot Chicken on Saddle Creek Rd in Omaha. I had an incredibly disrespectful interaction with multiple cashiers at the Omaha restaurant that adamantly refused to give me the correct amount of change when I politely told her that she had "hopefully" made a mistake in counting. She proceeded to ask me "are you tripping over some cents?". Shocked at this, I said pardon me I don't understand, I am just looking for the rest of the money still owed to me. As if giving the right amount of change for my purchase is not something normal people and restaurants do. She proceeded to ask if I was tripping and refused to give me the money until I guess she could open the cash register. I then waited until I got my food at the front counter patiently and revisited the problem. After kindly asking again, both cashiers harassed me away from the counter and said that I was "tripping over some cents". They asked why I cared so much and were disrespectful and uncaring about doing their job properly. I said it was about the principle and the money at this point, all I would like is the remainder of my money. They once again refused and told me "you should go now, you're not gettin' any money". I was so beyond shocked some man gave me a dollar in line and said "here's a buck, get out and shut up". I said to the man, this isn't about you leave me alone and gave him the dollar back. I turned to the cashiers, looked them both in the eye, and nodded my head. I won't be coming back here. I will be telling everyone I can about this experience and respectfully asking if they don't support the business of this Omaha Dave's Chicken. They may lose my interest, and the interest of others if nothing is done about this. I will be leaving more reviews and calling the corporate office about this blatant disrespect and pathetic showing at Dave's from the cashiers unless something is done. I felt so disrespected after not receiving the right amount of change, all I did was show respect the entire time. I would like to know who I can talk to about this. Thanks for reading and look forward to hearing what others have to say about this, including the...
