I had a really unpleasant experience at this Starbucks today. I was in the drive through and when trying to get to the order box I miscalculated and stopped with my car partially in the crosswalk and couldn't back up because there was a car behind me. A Starbucks employee approached me and told me in a rude tone to move out of the way and not block the crosswalk.
I understand that it's important to keep crosswalks clear and that I was in the wrong, but the way the employee spoke to me was completely uncalled for and left me feeling really uncomfortable. Furthermore, even though I couldn't back up far enough to get out of the crosswalk there was enough room for the employee to walk behind my car and go about their business.
What's more, I noticed that the employee didn't say anything to any of the other drivers who stopped in the crosswalk while I was there - they were allowed to stop their cars and trucks without any problem. It felt like the employee was singling me out and had a sour attitude towards me for no reason.
I've been a loyal customer at this Starbucks for years, but this kind of behavior is unacceptable. I hope that the management at this location takes this complaint seriously and addresses the issue with their employees. No one should be made to feel unwelcome or uncomfortable when visiting a store. And when someone is in the wrong delivery and professionalism is important.
I hope this was a one time event and that this person was just having a bad day, but if this is a pattern then I hope management addresses it properly.
Additionally, I hope that this location is able to mark their crosswalks more clearly (I suggest signs, other places do this) for those (like myself) who have difficulties in seeing in order to be more inclusive and address their crosswalk policy in a more professional,...
Read moreThe staff at this location are unprofessional and unreasonable. I made a "non gender neutral" comment with a fairly common greeting and a barista was not only able to snap at me in the driveway but also has made myself and friends of mine extremely uncomfortable with every visit since. Somehow they expect me to know the gender of the individual behind the sign and address it or else. When speaking to the manager about the incident, my pain points were not taken into account as it was unprofessional to reprimand a customer for a general comment a staff member took personally. When asking for the corporate manager an employee provided fake information to bypass the topic. Ever since then my usual drink from my local Starbucks has never tasted the same and I've filtered through many barista since. However this time I won't be returning to feel genuinely uncomfortable about ordering coffee from whatever gender tends to make it. It's ridiculous that saying "see you later, man" has lead to such a conflict because the order taken doesn't identify as one. This starbucks is...
Read moreManager is rude and condescending. I schedule coffee with a friend. We had not been able to sit in a Starbucks for 15 months because of the pandemic. Both of us had supported wearing masks and other actions to stop limitbthe effects of Covid-19. Now that we had both been vaccinated for months, now that the vaccination has been available to everyone for a long time, now that cities and states have lifted mandates and the CDC guidelines allowed us to return to near normal we were looking forward to meeting for coffee again. We met there and went into a large Starbucks location to find that all of the tables were off limits. The manager smugly let us know that it was her decision to not let people dine there. Both my friend and I came away with the impression that the decision was based on power rather that any scientific evidence. Decusion like this feed the antagonism of people who fought Actions to fight the virus. I will not go in that location again and will most likely find a local coffee shop that has the good of the community as...
