Me and a buddy have lived blocks away from Harold's since we were kids, went in for a few beers the other day after work. Within 5 minutes of arriving the owner started berating a young woman who hadn't reviewed her keno tickets, the owner began screaming obscenities at the girl and throwing bar stools and kicking over tables, then physically confronted her boyfriend, who was calm the entire time, while a regular cornered the woman and insulted her repeatedly at close quarters. My buddy and I were ready to leave and waiting on our tab when the bartenders boyfriend arrived blackout drunk and violent immediately acusing us of causing the issue and attempted to initiate a physical altercation, when the bartenders intervened on our behalf, that caused an altercation between the two, which eventually spread into a bar wide altercation, so we left after throwing more than enough cash on the bar to cover our two beers to avoid physical conflict initiated by the staff and owner here. Stay away. Absolutely never experienced such toxicity from any establishment in the metro area. If I could give negative...
Read moreTerrible bar! Absolutely the worst bar I’ve been in! The owner within 2 minutes of me entering went from sitting at the bar to throwing chairs across the room, kicking tables because some girl lost her keno ticket then the drunk old guys there were cornering her there not letting her leave. Talk about not being a safe place for women! Then on top of it the bartender called her boyfriend down there to start a fight for absolutely no reason. They were all in there about to brawl so bad that I had to just drop cash and leave even though I know I’ll get charged on my card anyways! Hands down the worst establishment I’ve ever been into. You’re better off drinking at home than with these aggressive and belligerent owners and staff members. And not to mention this was on a Wednesday I could not imagine how this place is ran on a weekend with a crowd...
Read moreI d8nt know where the last 2 reviewers were but it wasn’t Harold’s. The new owners Brian and Tessie Childers are the nicest people and would never treat the bartenders or a customer that way. I’ve been going there for 40 years and it’s never been anything but a homey, environment everyone welcomed old and new. Everyone treated the same.
Obviously these last two reviews were not at Harolds or have a competing business that they know will never be able to compete with Harold but, to tell lies.
Very homey place and everyone welcomed wether old or a new customer.
Stop down and make your own opinion, once there you will be coming...
