While on vacation looking for a good Mexican restaurant. The reviews seemed really good for this place. I gave 1 star, because you had to give something. The service was beyond horrible. Thought okay, but the food will make up for that. We were wrong! Worst Mexican food we had ever had! Ordered the chicken and steak fajitas! The steak was so dry, actually choked while trying to swallow. Asked for the normal setup with fajitas, specifically grated cheese, sour cream etc. Charged extra for the cheese, which normally comes with it. Bell peppers and onions, not cooked, just thrown on there. Our waitress had no business working as a waitress! Took forever to bring drinks, never asked about refill. When finally brought drinks, we asked if we could order she said "yeah you will have to wait ". Once she returned asked if we could order an appetizer first. She took our order for both. In less than 5 minutes here comes the appetizer with the waiter with our food right behind. No time to think about eating appetizer. She never returned to the table. Observed her taking an order at next table, while another employee came up to discuss plans for later. Really!! Finally flagged her down to ask for check. As she saw our plates not touched, never asked why. When I explained the meat was not edible, her comment "oh well, I'll see about taking the cost off. Returned with check, I gave credit card, without even looking, she asked if she could keep the change, I explained it was a credit card. Needless to say the worst food and service ever! Maybe Saturday evening is not the...

TL;DR Version: We really liked it and recommend it.

The More In-Depth Review: My wife & I were visiting the area and trying to figure out what to do for dinner while driving down the strip. We were doing the alternating "No, YOU pick." when I got tired of that and just whipped into the parking lot. All that to say we basically knew nothing about this place before and had 0 pre-conceived notions.

Seating: We were seated right away; 0 wait. The atmosphere was festive, but not too loud. Our server, Leroy, came by quickly to introduce himself and take our drink order. I asked for the standard Corona and my wife got the frozen strawberry margarita. The frozen marg was actually VERY good.

Service: Leroy was an AWESOME server for us. Fantastic attitude and made very good (and slightly unexpected) recommendations on the food. My wife ordered the Taco Salad (yes, standard fare) and I ended up going with the Street Corn Elote Tacos. I tried to customize how I wanted it, but Leroy emphatically encouraged me to just go with them as they are, including the grits as as side. I hate grits, but the response to this statement was "Trust in Leroy". Ok, I will trust Leroy.

Food: I will never doubt Leroy. That guys was 100% right. The tacos were incredible. The grits were very good as well. Great taste for all of it.

Conclusion: This location of Cactus Cantina was a great stop for us. If/when we are back in the area, we are highly likely...

Me and my family went out to eat here tonight and had terrible service. Our waiter was inattentive and had an unpleasant attitude all night. When we were first seated no one came to our table for about 7 minutes. Our server finally came over and got our drink orders. When it was time to order our food, I asked a question about the taquitos and if I could get one of each meat. He said no you can only choose one meat. I said ok never mind let me get the carnitas plate. When our food was brought out I received the taquitos. I told the person that brought our food over this wasn’t what I ordered. He called our server over and he said this is what I ordered with an attitude. I said ok this is fine cause I was not going to argue with someone that already had an attitude over something they got wrong. I couldn’t even enjoy my meal because I received the wrong thing then got attitude when I was telling my server about the mistake. Later my mom asked for a water and he never brought her another one. He took the plates off our table then did come back for a while probably another 5 minutes. He wasn’t busy because there was only one other table in his section at the time. He walked past our table multiple times without even glancing at us. Finally he brought the iPad so we could pay our food and there was no resolution for giving me the wrong food. I will not be back again and I don’t suggest anyone to go and get the...

Held our mother’s 80th surprise birthday party here August 3, 2024, after our event planner dropped the ball big time. With only a week to plan for 30 people, Cactus Cantina graciously welcomed our event. From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left, the management and staff could not have been more helpful, courteous, professional and friendly. They stepped in without us even asking and helped get our decorations up in no time-down to using our helium tank and blowing up all the balloons. I was so amazed and impressed with the GM and her staff. When we had nearly 20 more guests than expected they jumped right in and added tables and chairs, took their orders, and had them in the midst of the party in no time - and without a nasty attitude for having “too many guests “. They absolutely did everything possible to help make this party everything we hoped it would be. Thank you all so very much for everything!! You truly don’t know what you did that day. I will definitely highly recommend them for any occasion.

Cactus Cantina was such a pleasurable experience for my family. Despite being busy, we didn't wait longer than five minutes. The location is convenient. Everyone was very friendly. Our server, Allie was the absolute best! She has such an upbeat and positive attitude. She offered wonderful recommendations and was attentive to everyone's needs. She's a superstar for sure!! There's lots of seating at Cactus Cantina. There's also a massive bar. The salsa is very flavorful and delicious! Some of the best! My mother loved her HUGE margarita and went on and on about how wonderful the food is. Everyone loved their meals. I only got pics of my meal because everyone was quick to dig in so I didn't bother. ;) They even had French fries for my picky daughter. She claimed they were even better than McDonald's fries! I ordered the chicken taquitos. The ingredients are fresh. The food was cooked and prepared to perfection. I definitely recommend Cactus Cantina. I can't wait to come back whenever we are in the area again!
