Hurricane Grill & Wings-Orange Beach — Restaurant in Orange Beach

Word of advice: Save your time and money- go somewhere better.

We (party of 11) spent a total of about 3 hours at this restaurant. We were seated almost immediately outside, which was fine because it was warm with a nice breeze. Appetizers came around 30 minutes later and food an hour after being seated. 3 of us never received our food, so after 25 more minutes, our waitress finally came around. Might I inform you that she only checked on us twice during these 3 hours. Anyways, we asked about the missing food, if could we get some napkins, and refills. Did we get refills? Once. Did we get napkins? No, we had to use a paper to-go menu as a napkin since none were given to us. Did we get the food? Ha, funny. They brought out 1 plate but it was an order we already got so the cook took it back and sent another woman with the same plate. She was rude and pulled a hair out of the food in front of us! One of us spoke to the manager and he offered a 10% discount. That would've been alright if things would have gone nicer, but everything continued spiraling downhill. After we received our food, we asked for to-go boxes and checks. The waitress messed up the tickets and had to fix them twice, even though she was writing everything down and we all had seperate tickets. They were still wrong after that, so she stomped off and said, "Well, I will go get the manager again." He came out and still had the tickets wrong. Not to mention, that 10% discount was a lie and the "fixed" tickets cost way more because they automatically added gratuity. We had mixed checks where some had to pay 18% and others 20% gratuity. I am fine giving tip, as quite a few of us had worked as waitresses before; though it seemed less about us giving her a tip and rather the manager...

After reading tons of reviews about this place, I was sceptical. The good reviews were REALLY good and the bad ones were REALLY bad. Our experience was great! We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and seated promptly. Our server came almost immediately and took our drink order. We ordered the perfect storm appetizer and it was awesome! The shrimp were lightly breaded and came with a tasty dipping sauce. It also came with boneless wings which we got in a mild buffalo sauce, very good!! The mozzarella sticks were quickly eaten up by my 11 year old who is super picky, the one bite I managed to swipe from him was perfect! My favorite I think though were the garlic parm fries, YUM!!! My boys got a large order of boneless bbq wings in the sweet bbq sauce, they were tender and perfectly cooked! I got the guacamole burger, one of the best burgers I've had in a long time for sure, cooked exactly how I asked and it had great flavor. My husband got the nachos and man o man, I just can't even......we eat a lot of nachos, it's one of our faves, but these, THESE, may just be the best I've ever had. They weren't dry, they were covered with lots of toppings and I was super impressed, nachos can be hit or missed but these were amazing! Our food came out quickly, our server was good, the atmosphere is fun and beachy. I didn't think it was pricey at all, in fact I felt it was a good value. Our family of 4 spent $75, but my husband and I had drinks, we had an appetizer and dessert. If you're looking for a good variety and good food, check...

I’m only giving 2 stars because the food & the drinks. The service was horrible. We went in on a Friday night and is was very slow. The hostess told us we would have to wait 5 minutes for a table, so we sat outside and waited. Our party was 4 adults & 2 babies. After about 10 minutes we were called in, she opens the door and looks at us.. doesn’t say ONE word, she literally just stared at us and then she just walked in. So we were confused, because she didn’t say our table was ready or anything. But we followed her, carried our 1 year old & 2 month old in & when we get to our table, it’s being cleaned as we are standing there... she literally called us in to stand there and watch our table be cleaned. And as she walks away after only wiping down the top of the table, I asked her if she could please wipe down the chairs because there was food all over them. She then just stares at me for a good TWENTY seconds not saying a word and then proceeds to say “I am” and then CONTINUES to stare at me lol. She goes to get the broom & we are literally all standing in the middle of this restaurant waiting... & she pulls out her phone while getting the broom.. it was horrible. We all were talking about leaving before our waitress got there. It was really awkward & the restaurant was dead. We still tipped really good, it wasn’t the waitress but we waited over 35 minutes for our food and we were the only ones in the restaurant. I do not recommend going here.
