They have different flavors of ice cream kind of like a Braum's or 31 flavors something you're familiar with and then they had a gummy worms and gummy bears and different flavors of candy like that I got about a half a pound of candy in a little sack and a one ice cream cone and it was over $20 so it was just me and my husband so we hadn't spent a lot of money eating out because our children kept going to fast food places so I wanted that so I bought it and the gummy raspberry gummy things were delicious but way too expensive but you're in a tourist trap so everything is very expensive in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores so if you want it you got to pay for it. The best thing to do if you want to save money would be to have a condo with the kitchen or a motel with a kitchen facility and go to Walmart and pick up some stuff and maybe eat out a time or two for special occasion if you want to but then fix your food and sandwiches at home that's what I would do if I had children and probably would do next time if we go for me and my husband because we went out to eat at one nice restaurant I thought it was nice would be nice it was rustic and beachy and it was called Wolf Bay we got the grouper each got the grouper, one side and he paid $4 for one trip to the salad bar and I got a soda to drink with free refills and I got vegetables for my side he got mashed potatoes so basically you get your entree one side for a certain amount of money then you pay $4 for one trip to the salad bar they give you a small bowl and if you get any extra sides they're $5 each so I got the rice pilaf with my stir fry vegetables so it was 90 something dollars there is a Texas Roadhouse there but we go to that all time in Sherman Texas so I didn't feel like that would be a big treat but there was the grouper was so large such a big piece that my husband and I should have just got 1 entree and picked up an extra side or two that would be the smart thing to do because it was large very large and we both just ate about half of ours took it to the motel we stayed at the Indigo Hotel did not have a microwave so it ended up being wasted. So eat and carefully of what your appetite says it is and then really what you could eat and save money at the same time that would...
Read moreWhen my family and I went, we got the red velvet fudge, a piece of chocolate covered bacon, a chocolate covered twinkie, and some lemon white chocolate truffles. The red velvet fudge is awesome, but I wasn't impressed by the other things we got. The bacon in the chocolate covered bacon was a little too smokey for my taste. I don't really know what I didn't like about the chocolate covered twinkie, but there was just something a bit off. Reading the sign "lemon white chocolate truffles", I expected some white chocolate with some sort of lemon filling, but I got a layer of white chocolate, a layer of milk chocolate, and a soft, creamy dark chocolate center. The only lemon thing on the whole thing was some powder on the top and maybe a little bit of lemon juice mixed in the chocolate. It may be that I just personally don't like their chocolate, but the truffles had the same funk as the chocolate covered twinkie. All this wouldn't have been a big deal if we hadn't paid so much for it. Our whole order was a little over $20. It's $8 for 6 tiny truffles, $4.50 for a chocolate covered twinkie, and a rice krispy treat dipped in chocolate is $5. I guess they think dipping things in their chocolate is like dipping things in gold. Anyway, I may have ordered the wrong things for my taste, but I just expected better from the reviews I read. Their fudge is great and I bet their ice cream is as well, but there is just something about their chocolate I don't like. Maybe it's too sophisticated for my taste. I don't know. Overall, I just don't think their stuff is worth the price. Go buy yourself a Hershey bar and...
Read moreI guess a few things really bothered us about this place. We walked in and upon arrival there zero greeting. No how are you nothing there was literally no one in sight. We said hello my husband even clapped to try to get someone’s attention but still no one came out. My husband then was almost in the back and ran into/accidentally scared the worker who even then didn’t greet him/us just went to the counter saying nothing. There’s multiple things advertised on their website as well that they don’t have. Carmel apples, certain ice cream flavors, that we came to Kayden’s specifically wanting. We still gave it a shot then were absolutely shocked at the prices. The quality nor quantity of the candy and ice cream honestly didn’t match up in any way for the price we paid. Definitely not a place we will return to. Scoops that’s been there forever just down the road is a place that will continue to get...
