My husband and I visited our mom and dad in Orange Beach and decided to have lunch at a local Chinese restaurant called China Dragon. What a fantastic choice! We ordered four appetizers, three entrees, and a dessert, and every single dish was absolutely amazing. Owners are super friendly as well!

The first thing that caught our attention was the beautiful decor. The restaurant’s classic Chinese architectural design, paired with the thoughtful display of traditional instruments on the walls, created an inviting and authentic atmosphere.

Our top recommendations: the firecracker shrimp, seafood shumai, and pork spring rolls—each bite was perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor. My husband couldn’t get enough of their orange chicken, pot stickers, shrimp with lobster sauce, and house special fried rice—all classic dishes done to perfection.

Though we were full, we couldn’t resist trying the sesame balls for dessert, and they didn’t disappoint! The taste brought back fond memories of my hometown in China.

The food, authenticity, and warm hospitality made our family trip even more special. China Dragon will be our go-to spot for Chinese food whenever we visit Orange Beach again....

We have been there twice. The first time was pretty good. But the 2nd time, not so good. I ordered the Egg Drop soup which arrived with a really gross layer of thick globby oil of some sort. I had to send that back and exchange it for the wonton soup which was acceptable, not great, but drinkable. The garlic beef was pretty good but they forgot to bring us rice so we sat and starred at the food for awhile. We had also ordered egg foo young which didnt come out for around 40 minutes. We were basically done eating everything else and were full by the time they brought it. Once they did we were all mesmerized but not in a good way. They were huge and thick and nothing like an Egg Foo Young that I have ever seen. Served with a side dish of gravy. We just had to try it even though we were full and it was terrible!! We had it packed up and we took it back home to try it again the next day and it ended up all in the garbage. Worst egg foo young we have ever had. I gave them 3 stars to be fair since we had eaten there before and liked it the first time. Should be 1 star for this last meal. Thinking maybe it was a completely...

The best chinese food I've had since living in pensacola. Trust me I've been to several places so far. This restaurant is located in the shopping Plaza near Winn Dixie. Clean location, good seating. I got there during lunch time, so I got 2 plates just to try them out. I got the sesame chicken and general tso chicken. Food was prepared in short time. It smelt really good. I got it to go, so I sampled on the way home. Each meal came with fried rice and egg roll. I didn't care for the egg rolls they were really skinny and lacked any real flavor. I like the sesame chicken but I thought the general tso tasted the best. It wasn't as spicy as I like but the best I've had thus far. What I really like about their food was that the chicken pieces were actually all meat and not full of breading. The meat tastes fresh and was hot. The rice was ok - I prefer mine with egg and veggies. Overall, I can see myself returning in the future. Glad to find a decent restaurant. One thing did give me pause and that was their...

Such good ratings we came with high expectations and feel like it was a mixed bag. Hubs got shrimp fried rice and it was nothing to brag about, bland. He also got egg foo young and was thrown with the heavy (but not dense) breading and the “gravy” was hosin sauce based. I never like egg foo young no and loved this one. I ordered curry chicken, not too hot and it was great. We will try it again. Finding a great Chinese place in the area has been a challenge! 2022 UPDATE: Knew we had been here before (3 years ago!) but elected not to read my last review. Well, it was 3 stars then and my review is unchanged. Eggs rolls were meh (note to self, “don’t order again). The egg drop soup was really orange (really) but tasted good. The pork fried rice was a huge portion and was good. The moo shu chicken was also good. Prices were fair. Ate in, too warm, uncomfortably so. Still looking for great!
